Should be an easy win tonight, but as we all know, with the Wizards there is rarely such a thing. And of course, we gotta stop Ray Allen (last season, in a 137-96 blowout @ Verizon, we only held him to 17).

I dont think there will be many "easy" wins now without one of our top guns. Watching that game on Saturday vs. the lakers was tuff. U could just tell we were struggling to get good looks and this team hasnt realized how to consistently score and get into rythym without AJ.

Replacing 20pts/8 rebs is tough. And AJ gives u that perimeter threat. I apoligize for thinking AJ wasnt a key to this team...sorry Antawn. :(

I said before last game that Caron would have a big night and we'd win. Luckily I brought some wood with me this time. I'm pretty sure this will be a convincing win.

That was AWESOME. I LOVE blowouts and that game was ridiculous. I was watching on the big screen as I waited tables on a slow night at a crab shack.

Way to step up, I respect that. Now if only about 15 other people would follow suit....

Not only were Jamison's uncanny flip-shots a valuble asset, but when the defense collapsed on a driving Arenas or Butler, AJ was always wide open behind the arc for a "high percentage"' three... Now that AJ's gone, that role is being played by Jarvis Hayes, who missed like 4 in a row or something... I was there and it seemed like more...

We need to grind out a win tonight because the Spurs are gonna be a tough draw come Wednesday....if we can take 2 outta 3 of these games against Sea, SA & Portland then i will take that.

We just need to weather the storm while the Captain is out.

LETS GO WIZARDS!!!

Wizards game or Prison Break and 24? Damnit. Wizards games haven't been on Monday nights the whole season of 24, somehow.

Hopefully it's a blow-out and watching the first hour of the game and on commercials will be enough.

I still can't believe people were actually like happy when Jamison got hurt. He's such a huge part of this team.

We really need the short end of those 3-6 weeks he could be out.

February-5th-2007, 02:06 PM
Wizards game or Prison Break and 24? Well, I don't watch Prison Break, but DO watch 24 and CSI: Miami, so here's what I'm doing:

-watching the game (until ~9:30)
-DVRing 24 and CSI
9:30-11=seeing both of the above while FFing thru the commercials

Considering that the Bulls barely beat this team last time out, I think this will be a very tough game for us. Particularly if a "certain" player decides not to play within the framework of our team and, instead, conducts a "masonry" exhibition from 25+ feet. We will have to play well to win.

I think we need to focus on shutting Gary Payton down.

Also, we need someone down low to step up and put a body on Shawn Kemp. He's a big, phyiscal player and he can abuse us down low if we let him.

If we stop one or both of these guys, we can get a win.

I wish. There's no such thing as life when 24's on.

Seriously, it's worth skipping one Wiz game to watch 24, esp. if its not a very close game and you'll be fine watching at commercials.

Prison Break I would def. skip for a Zards game, but 24's a different story. If you haven't watched it before, you've lived an unfulfilled life.

Check it out tonight. It's only the 7th episode of the season so far and you should be able to figure out what's going on by reading the summary on Wikipedia or just catching the "previously on 24" bit. There's 2 hours next week so you don't want to miss it.

I'll be going to the Spurs game on Wed. to cheer us on though and I hope I get lucky enough to see the end if its close on commercials, but I'd prefer a blowout.

Ill be there a little late but Ill be there. I think 206.

We should do better then last game since they will be starting the same line up for the second time. I'm hope Hayes got a talking to. He was just stupid last game with all those quick 3 shots. If EJ is any coach at all he told him he wants him driving more and not just throw it up every time he touches it or he will be riding the bench.

Also, Blatche got valuable PT last game which takes him another step. He hit 2x 3s, one didn't count because an illegal D was called. Sag will be in his second game, so I'm sure every game he help him be more productive.

Lets face it, we didn't invest enough in anything past 3 players so now we have to pay the price. It could take 5-10 games for them to come around and look smooth but we can win some while they are learning.

I am not talking about the rest of the season. I am talking about since the beginning of the year or so. He has played well below what he is capable of doing. His shot selection needs major work, his defense needs improvement, and he needs to be more consistent. He is no longer an MVP candidate until he fixes those things. I am not taking away from what he has done all season, I am just stating that he has killed us lately and needs to get it back together.

Oh lord, I just looked at the box score and I nearly died from shock. Obviously Seattle is a TERRIBLE road team, but we crushed a team we were supposed to crush (which, lets face it, almost never happens) and EJs lineup worked (which, of course, half of you will argue against). From the looks of the stats, Gibby stepped back and let the role players step up (an excellent move on his part), but could you guys tell me what happened because I could not watch the game?

Tight game in the first half. We were playing zero defense again and seattle went up by like 6-8. Opened the 3rd, went down by 12. Then we went on a 30-9 run and took over the game. Seattle made a late push but it was too late.

Now is it more clear why I said we need to invest minutes in this kid. Sure he made that one stupid pass, but with every minute on the court his talent comes out more.

Also, we were done at halftime but it was DEFENSE that turned the game around and Blatche had a lot to do with that.

Andray Blatche definitely earned the starting PF job tonight. I LOVED the shot blocking machine we had out there with him and Haywood clogging up the paint. Yeah I know it's only the Sonics but this team was in dire need of a confidence boost.

Going up against the Spurs we HAVE to play Blatche and Haywood a lot or Duncan will eat us up alive.

Great win that puts us right back in the fight for the 1st place in the East after the 2 straight losses.

Brandon Haywood showed today why he is the undisputed starter with his double-double.

Caron Butler showed why he is he #2 guy and can step up any night Gil is not playing at his 100%. Even though Arenas didn't have a great night, he still had 9 assists which shows how much value he puts in the rest of the team.

Andray Blatche we are all hoping this wasn't a fluke and you keep up with the magnificent showing you had today. If you keep playing like this you might get 1 start before the season's over!!

I loved the way Eddie sent Booth in the third to run the Princeton. He stood on the corner, looked over the smaller defenders, waited for cutters and hit them running to the basket for the layups. Blatche's development was lovely, especially considering how he swats shots, and gets great position for offensive boards. Loved how he switched on the baseline to cut off Ray Allen's drive, causing a Butler steal. Gilbert seemed to be deliberate in spreading the ball around and not gunning (also the refs not giving him any love didn't help). Haywood was a MONSTER!

I think we can trace brendan's continued production to his willingness to keep the ball in the air on his putbacks. Remember how he used to put it back on the floor trying to post, causing the inevitable turnover? He now gets the ball in the air, bunny hops and puts in back in. Definitely not as sexy of a basket, but it works magnificently. Looks like 'dray is reaping in the rewards of that style as well, which is the result of GREAT COACHING.

Alrighty then. I love it. People getting on the Hands11 band wagon.

Im considering getting tickets for the rest of the season so I can yell at EJ so more. I was like.... Eddie... PUT IN BLATCHE.....

But seriously, it was so quit a lot of times and I was on the side of the court the 2nd hand offense was playing on so all the FT when its quite and they are just standing there. I was yelling, Blaaaaatchheeee.

I swear he turned and looked up in the stands several times. I hope yelling his name a bunch helped him know he has fans pulling for him. And I cant prove it, but I hope it helped give him some confidence that he can go play his game. Hey, if cheering didn't help, there wouldn't be a home court advantage so I have to believe it helped.

Anyone that goes to a game. Don't be afraid of what other people think around you. Most just sit on their hands. Just yell his name when its quite enough for him to here you. Cheer the kid on. I really think he is going to be a huge star here. And dare I say, this team could be build around a talent like that. That's right. I said it. He could one day be the star of this team. 6-11 baby Garnet. Blattttttche.
