I just wanted to share that my commentary for Metro Connection on NPR was selected to be part of their best of show. Pretty cool, they aired about 100 commentaries this year, and mine was chosen as the one they wanted to represent them for 2006 (I don't know if there will be any others commentaries in there) Anyway, it's nice to be able to share something nice. Feel free to use this thread to share cool things that have happened to you or that you have accomplished recently.

Congrats Burgold, that's pretty cool. I didn't get a chance to listen back when it happened but did you get a recording by any chance? I'd love to hear it. Anyway, congrats again!

It's available on the WAMU archives. Go to www.wamu.org and November 24, I think (closest show to Thanksgiving) Click programs, go to Metro Connection, and then their archives. Mine was entitled DC has no food.
It's going to be on tomorrow (they give a lot of notice, don't they  ) Locally on 88.5 fm at 1pm or you can grab it online as well.

Was that your "what's DC known for" commentary, Burgold? Like I said back then, I happened to catch it (on WAMU?) when it aired and was highly impressed.
Congratulations. It's hard to put a price tag on doing what you love and what you're good at, and calling it a career. All the best going forward.

And Ben's Chili Bowl.
(Which Burgold mentions in his piece.)
