I got this email and thought some of you might want to head down there this Sat. to meet him.
This spring is shaping up to be a VERY busy one for us here at Leader In Sports. Who can forget that this Saturday, we have Washington Redskin Great GARY CLARK signing autographs at The Card Cellar in Fredericksburg, VA from 2-3 p.m. Tickets are only $20 a piece. Come out and get your item signed in person. You are welcome to bring your own item to the event. There will also be jerseys, full size helmets, mini helmets, 8x10's and more available for your purchase.
If you cannot make it to the signing, it is not to late to call the store (540) 891-9549 to order your autographed item.
On March 31st, we have current Washington Redskin running back LADELL BETTS doing his first autograph appearance since 2003 at The Card Cellar. Autograph tickets are only $25 a piece. Details will be in the March newsletter.

20 bucks just to get an autograph of a player, oh and maybe a pic ?
I can easily afford to spend whatever for an autograph, but I hate these promo type of things. I dont need to pay Gary Clark for a sig, I got one from him years ago on a Camelot napkin. And doesnt he have a spot in Bethesda ?

shoot, it's definitely better than some of those shows that charge an arm and a leg, like $50+ for one autograph, more if it's a premium item like a jersey... And you are right, if you can catch Gary at his restaurant, another easy way to get his sig. Or, e-bay.

If the HOF is all about signature catches, then why isn't Clark even being considered for the Hall?

Gary Clark is a pretty nice guy too. If you get the chance either at this event or any other time to meet him, take advantage of it. I'm pretty sure he thinks Art should be i nthe Hall of Fame too. Maybe he's got some ideas that will help.

camelot- lol. i knew a dancer who worked there. girl named cindy lancaster. the chick was actually in playboy.
i've been to his place in bethesda- south beach grill. got a pic with him there last year. seemed like a hell of a nice guy, being that he seemed busy but took time to meet me and didnt even seem like i was inconveniencing him.

co worker of mine went to a private party at his spot in bethesda, he met Gary and jokingly asked if he could try on his superbowl ring, Gary said "sure" handed it to him and walked away, my buddy got to wear it around for an hour that night, and there are pictures to prove it

Sad that former or current professional athletes make people pay for their autographs. I wouldn't pay 1 penny to see either one. I realize they make alot of their post-playing days doing these signing tours, but I personally wouldn't pay.

Shoot I missed it. Gary is one of my all time top 3 or so favorite Redskins. Heck, he was my favorite player from any team when I first got into football.

Can we ban him before he takes a picture to show his Dungeons & Dragons / Magic the Gathering cult?

I met both Redskins Wide Receiver greats Gary Clark and Ricky Sanders in Tidewater Sports & Collectibles in Chesapeake Square Mall in Chesapeake, Va. during March 2005. Both of them were easy to relate with and are pretty down to earth guys; I was really thrilled to met 2 out of 3 members of " The Posse ". Gary Clark even said to Ricky Sanders that he likes my black Reebok Redskins " Yellow R " logo ballcap. From there, the rest is history with me taking a picture of both Clark and Sanders.
