Dear sweet lord a lot of the peeps on this forum seem more concerned with tearing the Wiz franchise down instead of building it up. I will try to put the mess on our hands in the proper perspective: we have 2 players AND a coach heading for the all-star game (awesome), we beat Los Angeles AND Phoenix away (awesome and insanely difficult), we are among the best teams in the East (The East sucks, but that also means it is more wide open), and in the past three years, WHENEVER we hit a wall or struggle for a few games EJ rights the ship (or as some would argue, anyone but Eddie rights the ship, haha) so based on our track record we will be fine. We may even have a 50 win team on our hands. But no, Gibby is a selfish baby apparently, the Big Three will never work despite its success in elevating us from a league laughingstock to a respectable team, EJ is a terrible coach although he did coax some great years out of Gibby and has made a faulty strategy (the Big 3) succeed. So while some of the more insidious extremeskin members may try to bring some of you over to the dark side, Gibby has always been prone to saying crazy things and all teams chance hurting their stars whenever they play them for big minutes (and didn't Antawn get hurt in the first five minutes of the game, instead of garbage time when EJ pulls out his starters anyways? Just curious).

And comparing Arenas to TO is... just wrong, on so many levels. I suppose that, because of Arenas' personality (he is not a clean cut, easy to categorize player) a lot of people would just not like him, but how many teams has he ruined, or how many seasons has he lost? Between his charity work, his accessability, his free jerseys, and his teeny tiny contract, can anyone show me, point by point, how Arenas compares to TO?

See you in the Eastern Conference Finals, Hibachi!

Hands and I were just discussing this via PM. It's the losing streak. I've been particularly sensitive lately. I owe some apologies to Skinfan2k. Expect a PM from me, 2k.
As the team goes, this forum will go. Let's take back the happy tonight in Philly. (Or at least be patient in yet another loss.)

It's not just the losing streak, it is how we are losing and what is going on in the locker room. The last few games we have really put out little effort at all, especially against Portland. Gilbert is turning into everything that he was against previously. He talks way too much trash and he isn't doing anything on the court lately to warrant it. He no longer plays with a chip on his shoulder and he refuses to listen to the coach (and his dad?). Haywood and Etan still can't get along which is somewhat troublesome. It is very important for us to pick up the win tonight to end the first half (or 50 games) on a positive note.

Well maybe if some people would shutup. I mean to say Arenas will leave DC next year because of two questionable statements is ludicrous.

I knew what the atmosphere would be like before even opening a thread. I'm surprised there hasn't been a few "trade Gilbert" threads surfacing, although I wasn't surprised at mad bumping his 'mediocre' thread like a sadist. I think a little adversity at this point in the season is a good thing. I haven't been watching much ESPN or Comcast in lieu of their yapping.

 It's an 82 game season. People need to roll with the punches. There are going to be hot streaks, streaks where we look terrible, and streaks where nothing falls. This forum as a whole gets way to high with the highs and way too low with the lows. Just take it game by game. Everyone is trying to win the east before playing half the schedule...

I was gone this weekend too and seems everyone's gone crazy :)

Can't say it isn't a little worrisome with Arenas' comments, but it's a long season and I think we'll pull it together.

Truer (?) words have never been spoken... It's been hard on anyone who is a go-hard Wiz fan. Things will get better soon. Peaks and valleys, friends. Peaks and valleys.

Let's get back on the right track tonite against Philly, chill out for the AS break, and hope like hell AJ comes back very soon.

Go 'Zards!

***EDIT*** LOL at TK....

Huzzah, keep your chin up guys, we are going to pull through this.

And if we do not make the Eastern Conference Finals, I will admit that I am a moron... See you in the Eastern Conference Finals, Hibachi!
