Blatche Nicknames Thread

Some folks in the "welcome to the NBA Mr Blatche thread" started playing around with nicknames for the young man.

To me he is just going to be Bleeeeeeeeeeeeeatche.

I wanted to put this in the main post area in case others wanted to play around like the idea.

I hope he finds us here so he can see the support he has.

What kinda sucks is that when AJ comes back, he will no longer start..but I like AJ better when it comes to the team's success.

get rid of brenda and the poet and use andray as an amare type center.. use the added salary money in finding a guard like a steve blake or barbosa. Songalia and maybe a sharp shooter off the bench like a brent barry or whatever

Blatche definitely has major potential. i like that he seems to be skilled at rebounding and shot blocking (a major wizards need). But i think he will also be someone who can score. i understand Eddie wanting him to concentrate on the boards and the defense but he has offensive potential that likely can't be fully reigned in.

maybe, I haven't ever heard him talk about it... but I know if I was shot, and survived and went on to be an nba stud, I'd flaunt it. I'd say that a bullet in the chest couldn't stop me, so how are you going to?

I don't think the team would need disassembled. It will grow into a more defensive team as players like Blatche get more PT.

I always claimed that AJ was the biggest problem on D and replacing him with Blatche is just proving that. Sure AJs offense is great most the times, but its about +/- and having a reliable D. That's what wins playoff games. Great Ds will disrupt high powered offenses, it having your own good/great D that allows you to stick around until the offense can get on a run.

The D has looked so much better after only 3 games with Blatche. If we give this more time, we could have an excellent D. We have lots of solid defensive players. They just didn't have anyone in the post could do everything that Etan does PLUS get from one side of the court to the other in a blink of an eye. Blatche does that. Now the guards can play more aggressive, extend and trap and Blatche can clean up the mistakes.

This is why he should start, then bring in AJ for the fire power. This is a better solution then moving AJ to SF and moving CB to SG because, even at SF, AJ will still suck a D.

Then bring back Blatche to close the quarter by clamping down again. Start him in the 3rd to reestablish the tone on D, then roll in AJ again to run away with it. If you need Blatche for one more spurt or to rest AJ fine, but you let AJ play the bulk down the stretch and sub Blatche as needed for defensive shut downs.

Its beautiful. I cant wait to see it one day.

But I digress, this is a nick name thread.
