I like him also - I know he has hard feeling against the skins but I also don't think he was treated very fairly his last season here

Hopefully he signs a 5 year incentive laden deal with EASTERN MOTORS>>>>>>>>>>>>> your jobs your credit.

LaVar is a joke...a complete an utter joke. "Mr. cant get right".......should retire if you ask me. He is the poor mans Grant Hill.....a flash in the pan that has been injured for decades and is washed up.

Funny how the person who posted this, asked please don't respond unless you have actual news about him and not just who cares, and still he got those replies. I am starting to hate this board. People on here suck and all they do is whine and complain. Why is it that even when someone asks a simple question people still have try to act cool and be negative?

Brad Johnson was cut recently. I wonder what Antonio Pierce and Champ Bailey think about that?

Grant Hill's actually a superstar who's had the misfortune of some bigtime injuries. He at least has played many monster seasons in the NBA, Lavar just never came back from the knee injury he rushed to play on.

Exactly, I find it to be real ignorrant. The purpose of a message board is for people to have different opinions. I swear that people must expect everyone to have the same opinion that they do. I like Lavar too, so you gonna bash me because I still like him? Real stupid. Then most of these probably happen to be those same people wondering why the WORLD is the way it is now, because people make big deals out of so little. And what always gets me, is how people want to complain over a player that they dislike, if you didnt like what the thread was about...then WHY READ IT?????

I read a web article where he was considering retirment. If I find it again, I will post a link.

i cant get the link to work. Itwas on foxsports.com. I was dissapointed we let him go. I always liked the man.

Here is his quote:

"I have to decide if playing football is in my head or in my heart," Arrington said. "If it's in my heart, I'll come back for an attractive situation. If it's in my head, I'm done. I have a few other options for my life outside football. I'm not going to say I'm Tiki Barber, but I'm not chopped meat...If this is the end, I'm glad the Giants gave me a chance to prove myself. I'm just disappointed things didn't work out for all of us."

Im sure the Cowboys will sign him. And Im sure he'll be all about it, even after opening his big mouth about how he could never see himself with a star on his helmet.

The guy lives to prove the Redskins FO wrong. Sorry dude, you have bum knees and the nfl has witnessed you cant back up your mouth on the field. PEACE!

Lavar loves his home on the water in Annapolis....he'll bounce around for a few more years never making an impact and then retire here in MD where all of his family is.

Actually, the Giants didn't cut him, Reese did. Apparently Reese is cutting players HE doesn't want. Coughlin was against him cutting Petitgout. I think Reese is getting rid of anyone who has the smalles injury problems. I'll be curious to see who he signs as a free agent since health seems to be his goal.

Im an idiot? Eff u dude. U dont know me.

EXACTLY, since his injuries....he is not near what he was and his days of being a "Force" are long gone. What am i making up? The fact Lavar is garbage now? Im making that up!??!?!??!?!?!?!??!?!?!? Explain how he has been a solid player over the past few years. He was "supposedly" healthy and couldnt sniff the field in 2006. If it makes you feel better I can lie and say LaVar has been a beast the past few seasons....LAVAR IS SO GOOD NOWADAYS. Eff u.

AMEN, BROTHER, I feel the same way but The problem with Lavar is he let his raw abilities do all the talking for him and never really became a student of the game and thats what happens when you lose your abilities to play you have nothing to make up for them, no wisdom of the game or no smarts of where you are suppose to be on the field because your speed can make up for that, well no knee no speed, career over.
I just hope Sean Taylor doesn't follow suit.

I would like to see him play a couple more years just to prove he has something left.

I could care less what team, I just want to see him go out on high note.

He was a good Redskin and I wish him well

I think his career is over....he just had a major injury...he doesn't have the same skills he had a few years back. He isn't the same player.

I remember when I was waiting for the draft and I was holding my breath wanting Cleveland to pick Brown so we could get Lavar and Chris. But to anybody that is an honest fan of the Skins and I do mean honest, just look at Lavars stats and tell me exactly what he did for us besides three (3) memorable plays and one season worth remmbering. Yeah, he laid people out and HAD a high motor but he didn't play the role he needed to play in an NFL defensive system. It's fine to let your raw talent shine on the college level but were talking about the NFL. I never met the guy but he seemed to be a pretty fun guy to be around outside of football but that outside of football. Just look at his stats and let the football part of your brain tell you what everyone else already knows, He's done.... :2cents:

great post...he is probably done

Clark left, Peirce left IMO he is worse than lavar as far as bad mouthing the skins) everyone agree....ok

Every player seemed to love Lavar, i see highlight tapes and he is the first to congradulate someone for making a big play!

First of all....can we all imagine for one second just what it is like to be in GW's dog house????

If Lavar said he would like to be a skin for life...he meant it, things change and i personally would not like to have been in GW's dog house either. I would want out too....

He loves the Redskins, but this isnt the only time Gregg Williams has treated a player like ****

There is two sides to every arguement fellas

Lets be a bit honest. Look at Lavar's career. He did a LOT for us before his injury problems.

2002 and 2003(since then he has had 3 injury plagued seasons) were his last two healthy years.

What did he do? He average 92.5 tackles, 8.5 sacks, and 5 FFs a season.

Thats dang impressive. Do we have a LB right now who can do that? No. Even Washington as good as he has been has never had as many sacks in a season, or as many FF as Arrington AVERAGED those two years. Very few LBers have. In fact last season no LBer had that combination of tackles/sacks/FF's, the only two who came close were Merrimen and Ware(both widely considered great young talent), who both had more sacks but 30 less tackles. He was dynamite those two years. Of course I highly doubt with his injuries he has anything left, but lets at least be honest of what he was when he was here and healthy.

Yes, he should . . . $4 million more in the hole, I might add
