Looking back what was the stupidest thing you have ever done in your life.

Mine was taking a history test answer key and giving it to my friends, I eventually got caught and got a nice suspension for that.

Once, while a young & dumb teen, I asked my girlfriend at the time,
"What's your problem, you on the rag?"

She was.

Damn near died that day.

FWIW, I remember a piece of philosophy that pointed out that in all of those heart-wrenching scenes where some guy is dieing, the regrets that they mention are always for things that they didn't do. Not the things they did.

The only regret I suppose I have is not really applying myself through high school. Had I done so, I may have been able to score a scholarship...and I'd be done school already. Oh well, 5 and a half years isn't such a bad time period for a commuter at a large university.

Getting piss drunk and riding saddle style on the door of a car. Falling off of the car and skipping on the pavement damn near killing myself. I regret that but not the most.

I regret pissing away an academic scholarship to college and getting asked to leave by the Dean after my freshman year. If I hadn't done that I would be done school and not working full time and trying to balance school along with all the other obligations I have now.

The ones I can remember are
1)Hitting a 9 year old kid when I was 15, because he broke my necklace.
2)Thanksgivings I said some bad things to my father.
3) Was afraid to ask a girl how I felt about her.

My motto is make a decision and never look back with regret. I'll make mistakes and learn from them, but regret is not an option.

getting into that crappy car accident a year ago. i thought my life would be over forever... it wasn't. but it still had some major effects and cuts pretty deeply into my bank account everytime insurance is due. :-\ ... however it did force me to learn manual. which i love. :-)

in the scheme of things though, that's not so bad. if that's my biggest regret, i'm gonna have to say i'm pretty well off.

Not to start the old high school football stories, but this came shooting into my head:

Trying to run over a defensive back, while playing with a collarbone that had been "fractured" only 5 weeks previously.

When I regained my senses a couple minutes later, I realized it was sticking straight up.

should have gone to Air Force ROTC in college (probably Miami) instead of a very expensive Boston university which I didn't want to go to..

should have bought a condo in DC back in 95/96 when I started Law School..

1. Not talking to a girl I liked, who was my secret admirer, in sixth grade. Dang it, Kelly Garcia, if you're out there, I still have my pretty blue eyes!!

2. Letting my parents homeschool me through high school. I would have loved to continue swimming and playing baseball.

3. Drifting from God and getting involved in my last relationship.

I'm 24 . . . is that a lot of regrets at my age?

That really isn't a lot at all.

I'd have to say that I've screwed up quite a bit... but ultimately I regret nothing

Not working hard in high school to earn a scholarship so my parents wouldn't have to work 2 jobs now and pay for both my brother and my college. High School was so easy and i never applied myself. Also for screwing up freshman year of college and putitng my self in a big hole applying to pharmacy school. ONce i get into pharmacy school all of those mistakes will be erased and my life will be wonderful. I just hope they dont come and bite me in the ass.

Make it up to your parents by helping them out later on in life when they may need you instead of you needing them...like when they retire. Then everything will even out.

Not talking to my older brother more when he was alive...he died suddnely and now all those times I could've picked up the phone to call him or even e-mail...I would give just about anything to have one of those times back. Hell I'd give anything to have one more argument with him...because I know we would eventually reconcile our differences.

No doubt...no question my greatest screw-up.

I've got two big ones.....

The first is that I never really spent a whole lot of time with my father. He and I were very much alike and that meant we got on each other's nerves incessantly. Even though we had a number of interests in common we never really spent a whole lot of time together. Especially after I moved out of state in 1998. It took me losing him to Cancer in 2001 to really bring home the realization of how little time we truly have with the people we care for. I'd give anything for one more day, one more hour, or even one more minute with him.

The second thing I really regret was ending a relationship with a young lady I was dating in college. She was one of the few women I've ever found who could and would willingly put up with me "ideosincrecies" and I ran her out of my life over something incredibly stupid and juvenile. I didn't even have the sense to realize how good I'd had it several months later when she wanted to try and get back together with me.

Evolved from "on the rag" meaning having one's period, to "rag" meaning a woman who is having her period, to "rag" just meaning any woman in general.

DISCLAIMER: Women tend to find this term a bit offensive. Calling a woman this may slightly decrease your chances of getting laid.

When I was in middle school, this girl (whom I didn't like) kept trying to go out with me. It got to the point where I felt it was creepy (she sent a letter to me professing her "love), so I asked my friend to give her a note that said awful things about the girl.

I wish I had handled that better, even though I would've never gone out with that girl.

eh, my entire high school class got hammered on our canada trip. not a huge deal. but i do know kids who go expelled for drinking on a trip and trying to hide the bottle in a trashcan. he got away with it until he came back for the booze.

As for my biggest regret, partying too much my freshmen and sophmore years in college and destroying my GPA. I put myself in a hole that i couldnt get out of and was forced to transfer out and attend community college. I knew engineering would be tough but i wasnt even close to prepared for it. But i feel that everything happens for a reason and there is some reason out there as to why im home at the moment. What that is im not sure of, but i do know i will find out sooner or later.

not pursuing this one girl who liked me a few years ago, woulda been a good fit in hindsight, but I was being completely foolish back then. Not taking any chances I've had with other girls, I will change that though.

Also, not being closer to my family, wish I was. Not trying at all in college, still managed a good gpa by most people's counts, but I know it coulda been really high. Granted, I don't have much going against me overall for which I am thankful.
