Anyone ever unknowingly dated a lesbian?

Funny story, but don't know how I should feel about this.

When I was in High School (~1997) there was a girl who I was dating/talking to very briefly. She was very attractive, popular, etc., and was a great athlete to boot. She made a very big deal to a couple of her friends that she liked me and was interested in me, so of course I took the bait.

I took her out a couple of times, but she seemed really shy and sort of withdrawn. We went our separate ways, and I was sort of baffled about what had happened. We have some mutual friends still, but I haven't talked with her since high school.

Anyways, I was searching on MySpace the other day, and happened upon her profile. Under sexual preference, she indicated that she was gay. I'd heard some rumors in College about her, but didn't believe them because rumors like that tend to fly all the time. Guess for once the rumors were true.

So, I guess that my question to the board would be: What would your reaction be? My feeling so far has been "oh, that really makes sense now..."

Anyone else ever had a similar dating story?

Yeah, but this was in High School. My guess is that the girl was sort of conflicted or whatever and wanted to try to date guys. Nothing came of it.

My boy, Marcus, has done this. Some seriously obese ladies took a liking to him and he was not feeling that at all. So, he told the ladies that he is truly gay and he would love to have those girls as just a friend and have them help him find a guy. They were pissed. LOL

I ended up dating a young woman who was gay in college. We had adjoining dorm rooms my second year in college. We'd talk in the hall every once in a while and relatively early in the year we started going out. I've never been the type to jump right into bed with a woman, so while we made out a little bit, it didn't go any further than that right away. I did KNOWINGLY once go out with a girl who I later found out preferred the other team. I don't think I was the cause of that choice ... but I note I was unalbe to turn her back a la Cosmo Kramer either.

Well my friend Mark wondered off to find Ricks parents stash of booze and I followed for amusement, he found the cabnit in Ricks parents room locked and eventually worked the cabnit open. Well we found the booze,...some weed, some coke and were shocked to utter hillarity to find all the gay/fetish porn accompanied with whips and multiple strapons. So Mark told me to head out into the living room and wait for him,.......he came waliking out 5 minutes later infront of everyone wearing a zipper mask and one of the strapons holding a bottle of booze in one hand and a whip in the other hand......Rick was devestated to the point of tears,.........I felt really bad for him, we all did, we managed to get a chuckle out of him eventually when we made him realize the kind of leverage he had on his parents now, not to mention the years of enjoyment this story still bring to us all, especially since we all still run across his parents now and then........I try not to shake hands though...hehe..

I dated a girl in highschool who has since had a few encounters. I've been talking to her on the phone a lot lately and she told me all about it. Some pretty hot and heavy stuff.
