My father told me that they are letting people bring their own food and drink (except alcoholic drinks) to the stadium. Is that true?

Yes. you can bring in all the hot dogs and soda and stuff like that you want. The street on LF side of the park usually has a bunch of food places that you can take right in. Good hotdogs and big ass soft pretzles for 2-3 bucks.
You can't bring in coolers, big bags, alcohol or cans of any kind into the park though.

Last year i was able to bring in a cooler as long as it was soft. Kinda like a lunch box. Are they still allowing those?

I think so. It just can't have hard sides.

"No hard-sided coolers, Thermos bottles, glass bottles or cans will be permitted into the ballpark or claim checked at the entrance gates."
