Its so addicting, clearly, the best baseball game I've ever played.
Just thought I'd share... :paranoid:

Have not picked it up yet, would like to rent it but blockbuster requires a stupid credit card to rent 360 ps3 or wii games, and I am not about to get a credit card.

Just to rub it in... The players really look accurate, they field and throw correctly all the controls are awesome and the franchise mode is just nuts. The fans in the stands are not the typical cut outs, they are real individual polygon figures, they try to catch foul balls etc... I've yet to find anything I would change.

Man I hope Madden is better next year, I rather play it on PS2 then the PS3 anyday.
I gotta cop that MLB 2k7 for the PS3. I have had all the joints since they came out on Dreamcast. It is by far the best baseball game that anybody has put out. EA's MVP baseball is kinda good though but 2K7 just crushes it. :2cents:

You think so? I was unimpressed.
Don't get me wrong, the game looks AMAZING. And I love the little things too, like the roll call when you're playing at Yankee Stadium.
It's not real baseball though. The offense is built way too much on the home run. I played on medium & smoked the computer while belting 7 HR's. I pump up the level to all star, and get smoked by the computer while THEY belt 7HR's
Maybe if I played with the sliders a little bit? If anyone has good slider settings, I'd love to hear them. It's frustrating when the opposing pitchers are hitting 475 foot bombs off of you.....

Usually I would agree, but the pitchers? Give me a break. And it's not just an isolated incident either. When scrubs like Melky Cabrera or Adam Eaton are hitting bombs off you every time, it's not fun.
And I know I suck at the game, but there's no happy medium between the difficulty settings either.
NBA & NHL 2K7 are such great games, it's a shame that the baseball game isn't.......

The sliders settings are what makes the game for me. I hear you about unrealistic games.
I have it dialed in pretty good now. I beat the teams I should and struggle with the pitchers I should struggle against.
The base settings are easy IMO.

The pitchers are joining the home run parade.
No pitcher should ever hit a home run in a video game, period....

I love MLB 2K7. It's right up there with MVP 2005 as far as the best baseball games ever. I have a few minor annoyances (too many guys climb the fence to grab home runs or the pitchers in the bullpen running out of gas while warming up) but if you get the sliders tweaked between pro and all star you can really have a fun balanced game.
The one bad thing about tweaking the sliders and getting a "custom" setting is that you are no longer eligible for some of the achievements. Carlos Delgado hit four home runs for me in one game and there's an achievement for getting 3 or more in a game on pro difficulty or better and that didn't unlock it.

I bought it yesterday and I can't beat anybody. It's gonna take some time for me to master it. I don't want to win every game, but I sure don't want to lose every game neither.

I couldn't agree with you more in terms of the fielders climbing the fence to rob me of homeruns. I went three up and three down once with the fielder robbing me of a homer on all three outs. All in all though it is a great game.

You should download the MLB 2k7 Demo from the PS store. The game seems ok. On the PS3 you push the controller forward to swing and the angle that you hold the controller determines if it's a grounder of pop fly. You can turn this off if you like the traditional control.
I've never liked the 2K games very much. This game is decent.

I'm gonna be honest here...
I'm a Nationals fan.
That fact alone makes me not want to buy a baseball game this year. *sigh*

Thats why you should buy the game, because then you will get a chance of actually seeing the Nats win!

I couldn't beat anyone either until I turned off the swing stick. I don't think it's all that great.
Has anyone tried multiplayer? I've heard that the lag makes it almost impossible to swing.
