Rochester Raiders (2-2) at Chesapeake Tide (1-1)
Date & time: Saturday, April 21, 7:05 p.m.
Location: Show Place Arena, 14900 Pennsylvania Ave., Upper Marlboro, MD 20772
Series record: First meeting
Series history: This will be the first meeting between the Raiders and Tide.
Last meeting: First meeting
Head coaches: Dennis Greco (10-6) is in his second year as head coach of the Raiders…Matthew Steeple (1-1) is in his first year as head coach of the Tide.
Player to watch for Rochester: Maurice Jackson, WR/KR…Jackson returned two kickoffs for touchdowns this past weekend against Lehigh Valley. Rochester’s special teams unit has been making a statement this year, and Jackson is the go-to guy now that Darius Smith has been suspended. He’s also dangerous in the passing game.
Player to watch for Chesapeake: Tavis Law, WR/KR…It was hard to argue for anyone else as Special Teams Player of the Week this past weekend after Law returned two kicks for scores and had 171 total return yards on six returns. Any time a kick goes in the air, Law is a threat to return it to the house. Both of his kick return scores came in the fourth quarter.
