Akon, a self confessed Muslim who practices polygamy and has 3 wives, shocked an audience and a 14-year-old girl in Trinidad, when Akon brought the girl onstage and dry humped her while also pushing her around the stage. Richard Gere’s forced kiss in India is G rated compared to Akon’s obscenity.

Akon told the audience that he was holding a "contest" with the winner getting a trip to Africa. He said that although they had held the contest in London, and Atlanta, that Trinidad’s contest would be his favorite. Akon managed to get seven girls onstage, and to compete they had to dance like whores. The winner had to compete with Akon, and one got molested by him.

Richard Gere hugged an adult Indian movie actress, did a dance-style dip, and kissed her 5 or 6 times on the cheek. Culturally inappropriate for India maybe, but pretty tame.

considering that it's a 18 and over club, that there are bouncers and doorman, it would have been resonable to assume the girl was 18 (And her pic looks over 18).

Yeah, me either, but I wouldn't doubt it happens. I found the video understandable since the contest was meant to be over the top (I guess it was some sort of contest?).

This seems to be more of an issue just because of Al Sharpton, not Akon. The writer sounds so racist, but comes off okay because of the Imus incident. He's basically saying "hey, look at what the blacks are doing! why can they do that and I can't?"

The video is disturbing regardless of the age of the person involved. It's just a sign of the degradation of society that that passes for interesting. I do not believe Akon can be held to account for dry humping a 14-year-old girl for the following reasons:

1. Has anyone verified he had any clue her actual age?
2. Where this happened, what IS the legal age?

The US remains very uptight about sex. More than much of the rest of the world as it relates to age of consent and public displays. We're not as uptight as the Middle East, but, we strive :). The girl in this case was dressed well beyond her age. Akon is still a talentless tool, but, he did no actual wrong here.
