Here is a bunch of clips of Darrell Green plays over the course of his career.

This first clip is a series of plays from his rookie season of 1983.

Darrell catching Dorsett from behind in his first game. Darrell's first career interception. A nice open field tackle on Dorsett. An interception later in that same game in Dallas and as a bonus the very next play the Theismann to Monk TD and the Cryboys trying to break up the Fun Bunch.

Clip 2 is Darrell's big plays in the 83 postseason.

His int TD against the Rams. His lateral punt return against the Niners which was called back (but shouldn't have been) :) and his then Super Bowl record punt return against the Raiders.

Clip 3 is from 1984.

First play is a 104 yard interception return that should have stood against the Lions. Bad ref call. Next is his pick 6 against the Cowboys that turned the tide of the game in Dallas.

Clip 4 is from 1985

Here are two fantastic punt returns by Darrell that were called back by bad ref calls. It just shows you how great Darrell could have been if we weren't too afraid to use him as our punt return guy. No question he'd own the punt return TD record.

Clip 5 is from 1986

This is from the 86 playoffs. First is Darrell running down Eric Dickerson and next is his game changing interception against the Bears.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NCJgGsjErS0

Clip 6 is from 1987

These are pretty obvious. First is his punt return in Chicago and next is his hit on Darren Nelson against the Vikes.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kk1B6ziMtuo

Clip 7 is from 1990

First is a pick 6 against Dallas early in the 1990 season and the next one is his interception in the playoff game in Philly.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1nubixSbzN0

Clip 8 is from 1991

Darrell's OT interception against the Oilers. Darrell's pick 6 in the NFC Championship Game and his interception in the second quarter of Super Bowl 26.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9cmPqzFbd4

Clip 9 is from 1992

Here is a forgotten gem (at least for me). Michael Irvin was talking all week about how he was going to rebreak Darrell's fractured forearm (he had missed most of the 92 season with the injury) and on this play Darrell used that very same forearm to strip Irvin of the ball late in the Dallas game.

Clip 10 1993

This is Darrell's record setting fumble return against the Colts

Clip 11 1994

Here is a pick 6 against the Cardinals at RFK.

Clip 12 1995

Here is the OT game winner against the Lions from 1995

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6V1TX_W1yI

Clip 13 1996

Here is a pick 6 against the Giants.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SAbmPHA-wLc

Clip 14 1997

Here is a pick 6 against the Eagles

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yR2AWwOtqMw

Clip 15 1998

I really wish I had kept the Vikings game from this season because of the heroic performance Darrell put up against rookie phenom Randy Moss but these two plays aren't bad.

Old man Darrell still running down the young guys like Napoleon Kaufman of the Raiders. Also Darrell's game clinching int against the Bucs.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddOYkT244ZU

Clip 16 1999

Darrell comes up big in his last playoff game with this interception.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FzNETddfNvQ

Clip 17 2000

Darrell sets up the game winning field goal with this pick of Donovan McNabb in Philly

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skixjWuXDYQ

Clip 18 2001

Darrell Green's last interception. It came at Fed Ex against McNabb.

I've added one more clip.

2002

From Darrell's last game. His punt return on a reverse against Dallas.

Good job compiling all of these. Those refs really are terrible.

I love the vintage RFK stuff and the views of our current stadium before it got all corporate. Quite a career for Darrell Green, he's been there through it all. I also like that most of the clips are from wins, the only depressing moment being that last playoff game.

It's a very sad thing with how many times they picked on the guy, I guess because he was such a good returner they figured something was going on, holding, illegal blocks etc? Hearing them say this and that and not seeing it happen makes me blood boil.

- EDIT -

I almost forgot, how dumb of me

Thanks for the clips man :D

I really enjoyed watching those moments. It's amazing how many returns he had and how many were called back on bad calls as well.

Next year they can't say Darrell Green didn't have a signature moment, because everyone of his plays was a signature moment!

I know. But I wanted to use some plays that Darrell has made over the years that may have been forgotten because of the bad ref calls.

If those punt returns or int return were made possible by an obvious penalty, I wouldn't have used them. But since they are examples of just how talented Darrell was (despite the poor ref calls) I decided to use them.

Besides, there are about 25 plays or so shown and "only" 4 of them were called back. :)

Or it could just be that there is such a dearth of Darrell Green plays from his 20 year career that I was forced to use these "called back" plays as filler. :silly:

Omg i just favorited every one of these videos. Thank you so much. Brings back memories. I remember the second game I had ever seen was when the Skins were playing the eagles, and tied 14-14, Darrell Green picked off McNabb. And I was sold form then on. I love Mr. Green, and if he isn't a first-ballot hall-of-famer, I will be pissed.

I used like 40 minutes to watch all these clips. I care that much. :logo:
