How accurate is Mike Mayock?

Last season, he predicted that the Eagles were going to take Bunkley and was dead on.

I ask because this morning, he was on WIP Radio and stated that the Eagles would be drafting one of the following..

CB - Chris Houston
CB - Aaron Ross
S - Brandon Meriweather
S - Reggie Nelson

With the team leaning towards Meriweather because of his tackling and ablilty to play man to man on WRs. According to Mayock, Meriweather could even be starting by week 2 (OMG!)

I ask if you guys feel he is a reliable source since he seems to be on the ball whenever I watch him on NFL Network. I'm curious to see what you guys have heard him say with regards to your teams as well....

But in my opinion, between Nelson and Meriweather, the team could draft Dawkins heir apparent in Rd. 1. I favor Nelson only because I watched youtube and saw Meriweather try to clean his cleats "through" some guys head.

If anyone drafts merriweather in round one they obviously haven't paid attention to what happens to thugs. Merriweather is not big size wise either, i don't think he is going to look that great when he has to tackle TO or guys like shockey. Merriweather may have changed his stripes, but he might just be another lying thug too. I think he would make a great corner though, the guy can just cover well, amazingly well. I just don't think his highlight reel hits will transfer over.

He's smart. He's basically the Mel Kiper of NFL Network. His slight lisp makes him kind of annoying though.

I was thinking that he's a better 2nd Rd. pick, but the TATERS over at the EMB are going bonkers about the whole conversation. Personally, I'd go for Nelson......

Actually, I hope they do take him. My gut feeling is that he will break down physically. Just a gut feeling. Anyway, they usually don't draft S that high in Philly, so I don't see it happening.

If I had to hazard a guess, I bet they go DE, even though it looks like a deep position for them. Kearse, Howard can't stay on the field for them. Cole is good, but he tails off as well as the season goes on. I could see them taking Moss in the first round.
