hello all-

i graduated from college this past sunday and want to spend some of the grad $$$ on a new jersey. i want a premier jersey, and i want the burgundy version of either portis or campbell. 5 minutes ago, however, i was crushed to find out that the reebok store did not have my size (large) of the portis and did not even carry the premier campbell. the redskins store carries neither portis nor cambell in the burgundy premier variety.

anyone know either:

a) an alternative website that might sell these jerseys? (the team store at my local mall has neither)

or

b) how often reebok may get another shipment of portis jerseys in my size?

i cant imagine the bigwigs at reebok sit and worry around the clock about getting in new large portis jerseys, so i doubt it will happen anytime soon

thanks in advance. and if d. snyder is reading this: DAN LET ME GIVE YOU MY MONEY FOR A JERSEY.

EDIT***************
JUST FOUND ONE ON AMAZON. Thanks, though, for the help that surely would have come.

Is there a difference between premier and authentic?

Not sure about the difference between authentic and premier, but I got one of these:

Anybody know what this type of shirt may be worth? I went on the Mitchel & Ness website and can't find this particular Redskin jersey.

Yes there is. The material is a bit different, the 'REDSKINS' is sewn on the authentic, screen pressed on an premier, authentics have the elastic arms, the premiers do not. Its not worth double the price, IMO.

What I do is look for bootleg authentics on eBay - some of them are damn near perfect compared to an authentic. Just look for a seller who has a lot of positive feedback.

That is an authentic throwback (unless its a bootleg authentic). The real authentics can sell up to $300.00. The bootlegs closer around $75.00

You can always try eastbay.com or www.jersey-joe.com . It might be hard being that the season is over. You could always try the local champs store at a mall. I saw a lot of redskins jerseys over there in terms of the eqt premier jerseys.

I got my jersey from ebay but its probably a phony. But i cant tell the difference and really how many people would call you out on it. "Uh sir your stitching on the inside of the sleave is inaccurate. I must confiscate your jersey"

Yeah, I got my Portis jersey from eBay, mine is a non-authentic (screen pressed not stitched), not sure if it's a premier or not but I definitely think that saving the money is worth it. I got my Portis jersey for around $40 and I've had it for a little over a year and it's still in great condition after lots of wear.

Good luck to the original poster, I want to get a Campbell jersey sometime soon myself.

man i think a CP, JC and LL would be tight, but i learned 4 jersey's later (champ, smoot #21, lavar and trotter) that the only safe bet is to get a legend. so last year I bought a burgundy Manley and custom authentic white darrell green.

i went with the burgundy portis

i agree with those stating that the smart jersey purchase is that of a legend...but hear out my reasoning:

i got a cooley white after the rams W in 2005. no matter what - if he never plays another down for the redskins - that white jersey will always remind me of the white-on-white streak of 2005 into the playoffs. for me, that is worht a purchase. as far as portis, he has costumes lined up. he is making bold predictions. oh - and he is a premier player for a team ready to break out. this burgundy jersey is going to remind me of the good times i had in college rooting for the redskins. iwas there for the 65 yard td against tampa bay and a few of hte other touchdowns. portis is a redskin. what other STAR player in the league is making bold predictions for a 5-11 team? i thought clinton might be frustrated - rightfully so - but instead he is motivated. he wants to win. he will call out anyone. he will try to run over anyone and run by EVERYONE. that is why he is our franchise player, and thati s why i just got his jersey. if we trade him tomorrow, so be it. he will always remind me of an era of redskin football that i really loved, even if we werent so successfull (subject to change this coming january)

Go to Finish Line at the Stony Point Mall accross the river in Richmond.

I got my white Cooley premier jersey there last summer. They even gave me a 20% military discount on it - even though it was only because my father-in-law was a career Army man and I happened to have my wife with me, but he didn't even ask questions or check a military ID. I think I paid around $80 for it, which is pretty good for a premier.

Even better, when I washed the jersey 3 months later, the numbers appeared to have gotten scratched up in the washing machine. Finish Line allowed me to do an even exchange for a brand new one without even asking for a receipt. I was pretty happy. I'll be buying all my jerseys from them. If they don't have any in the store, they can order them for you and have them shipped to your house within days.

I don't work for Finish Line, but was very impressed with how they accomodated me.

And congrats on graduation. I'm a 2003 VCU grad and will graduate from Richmond Law next spring. Welcome to the real world. Time to get a job and start paying back those loans!!!

what other STAR player in the league is making bold predictions for a 5-11 team?

Roy Williams, although the Lions are hardly 5-11.

But I digress, I own 4 Jerseys all current players. A burgundy Marcus Washington and a White Brandon Lloyd that a bought from our group buy last year and a Burgundy Portis and a White Taylor that I bought directly from the Redskins store in the mall. The first two are replithentics or whatever you want to call them and I love them (although I hope Lloyd performs this year). The second two are screen printed and on the Portis, the 26 is fading pretty bad. I am looking to replace it soon, probably with a replithentic again since I like those much better. Who cares if its fake?

Worth pretty much nothing, you didn't find this on the M&S website because it's not real. Any Mitchell & Ness jersey's are EXACT REPRODUCTIONS of what a player wore on the field. In 1984 the redskins had jersey's with screen printed numbers and short sleeves. That and the NFL's 75th anniversary was in 1994, not 84.

As for buying a jersey now I would wait there are going to be 75th anniversary jersey's in all styles (replica, authentica and premier)

Sorry to tell you but that Jersey is 100% knockoff. The guy above is correct. If its no on Mitchell & Ness's website its not real. But that 75th patch should have been the obvious redflag. Since Riggo wasnt playing in 1995. Anyway hope you got a good deal on the shirt.

GO ON EBAY. Pick up a fake authentic. Some of them are bad ,but some you really cant tell the difference between the fake and a true AUTHENTIC. There used ot be a store NFLONLY.com that sold quality fakes, but he is gone. Go to ebay though, check out the picks. With enough luck you will find an authentic quality jersey for a price that is less than an offical replica.

HUge difference between authentic and premier though.

You'd be surprised at the quality, I know someone who works for reebok and showed him something I bought off e-bay and it was so good he said if it didn't come from Reebok whoever made it was one hell of a wizard with a sewing machine.

Some fakes horrible, but some are reallly good. I got my bro a throwback elway (he is a broncos fan) that was amazing from ebay. Save money and get tight gear

Dude, I sympathize. I really don't have trouble finding XXL in jerseys, but finding them in t-shirts is a b****. I hope no one ever has problems finding what they want.
