Anyone been down there? I am supposed to take the GF down there this weekend, and I was curious as to what to expect when we go. I am hoping we can find some interesting gem stones while we are there.

Never been, although georgiaredskin and I are thinking about going down to Hiddenite, NC to do the same kind of thing. Maybe we should stop by this place on the way down.

Can't be too dangerous, we have an elementary school that goes there every year for a field trip.

I go to high point abotu 6 times a year so I think I will check that out the next time I am down there. Looks like a good time.

I have several friends that have been there a few times. They seem to enjoy it and have returned. I am not much help since my idea of fun doesn't include searching for rocks.

I do plan on taking my 6 year old daughter there because her idea of fun is just that and she would like to add to her rock collection
