Which has the most firepower?

Did the Borg start a war with an alien race (species 5472 I think) that was able to blow up entire planets? If memory serves, the Borg were losing that war until Voyager swooped in and helped them out.
Based on the facts, I'd have to say the Death Star. :)

How to respond to this?
I can't decide between 'resistance is fultile' and 'I find your lack of faith ... disturbing.'

Dude, the Death Star was taken out by a farmer because they left a hole in it that led straight to it's INCREDIBLY weak and unguarded heart. Don't know much about the Borg cube, but unless it had a retard as its architect - I have to go with the cube.

did they ever finish the death star or did they run out of funding?

I don't know whether to be impressed or saddened by your assessment.

That's because it's defenses are directed around a large scale assault. The Empire didn't consider a small, one-man fighter to be any threat.
The Borg, if anything, are all about large scale assaults. :)

The Death Star did lead to the funniest thing ever on Robot Chicken, and quite possibly the funniest thing I've ever seen:

Can the borg use the force, though?
Also... this topic sucks :(

Death Star. The second one was constructed without the exhaust ports like the first one. If it was completed...BOOM.
Then again, the Borg do have transporter technology. But Darth Vader could also crush them with the Force.

At first I thought Death Star, easy, but then I thought about the transporters, the borg could just beam a few photon torpedoes (or the borg equivalent) into the main power room on the death star. Blow it up from the inside as usual but without all the usual hassle of trying to get past the turbo lasers. :)

The Borg would be winning until John Luke/the Enterprise and Yoda/The Jedi hooked up and whooped thier collective behinds.

Yeah, but the Q, would probably beat the Jedis. Although, q himself always seemed like he would be vulnerable to simple Jedi mind tricks. Possibly the biggest difference in the Trek, SW worlds is that SW the players were relatively speaking on the same technological playing field. Star Trek kept finding Technological Gods or primatives, so their superiority or inferiority was never certain.

Wasn't the Borg ship basically impenetrable from the outside?
Oh, and I should also add, :geek:

The original Death Star was 'basically' impenetrable from the outside and look where that got them.

This seems an approriate thread to take a moment and note the 30th anniversary of the theatrical release of Star Wars. That day I became a geek and never looked back. :)

the first death star was completed and then destroyed by a proton torpedo. the death star in the image was #2 and never completed because lando flew in and took it out before it was done.
