Veteran defensive tackle Sam Adams, released by the Cincinnati Bengals early last month, on Monday signed a one-year contract with the Denver Broncos.

Financial details of the contract were not immediately available.

The 13-year veteran recently visited with officials and coaches from the St. Louis Rams and Houston Texans, but the Broncos pursued him ardently.

I want to know how much it is worth. If they signed him for a couple of mil, good signing. Anything more, I wouldn't like it.

I wish we took him for the contract they offered.

I respect them more than I hate them. We are 1-0 against them in Super Bowls when it's all said and done.

This doesn't break my heart...for hopefully a good reason, we think we're ok at DT without bringing in an aging veteran who's a couple pot pies short of 400 pounds.
