49ers sign OT Joe Staley, the 28th overall pick in the 2007 NFL draft...

Staley is the second 1st rounder to sign.

Financial details of the contract, negotiated by Priority Sports, were not yet available. The deal will be officially signed on Tuesday after some details in contract language are addressed.

These 2 signed first rounders are near end of round. Where as none around Landry's selection have been signed.

That said, as far as the Skins are concerened, all of our other picks have been signed, so I'm not sure what the hold-up is. Whatever our rookie pool has left is essentially all Landry's. Maybe both sides are waiting to see what kind of guaranteed monies are paid out at the top end the draft, but still should be in the range of last season's 6th pick. :whoknows: .
