I've been doing FF for about nine years now. This will be the first year we use IDP. Do you guys have any tips/suggestions? I think we're going ot have a separate draft for offense and defense. We're stilll working out the scoring system and roster size. We're probably going to start two DL, two LB, and two DB.
.5 for every tackle
i'll post the rest of the scoring when i get it.
What kind of gameplan do you guys have for IDP? Sleepers? Steals? Busts?......Thanks for you help:cheers:

It depends on your scoring system. In the IDP leagues I have done, I usually try to get guys that get a lot of tackles. I look for consistancy of points from week to week. You can't count on a guy to get a sack, pick, or touchdown every week.
The other thing to find out, do you get points for return yards? If yes a guy like Devon Hester would be a great pick up.
Post your scoring and I can give you an example of what I would do .

Thanks. I'll post my scoring and roster regulations as soon I get them.
In the drafts you've done- have you had separate drafts for offense and defense?

No I have not. we just try to bang it out all at once do to scheduling. It sounds like a good idea though. That way you can focus on both sides of the ball equally. Most people load up on offense before they started drafting IDPs anyway.

defense, for tackles you want LBs. for sacks you want DEs, and INTs is a total crapshoot. remember theres a difference between solo tackles and total tackles. but linebackers go first. last year on my team i had zach thomas and demeco ryans, i dont think i lost in the tackles category once.

Most of the IDP lists for LB's that Ive seen have Ryans at one and Fletcher at two

true.. i had Fletcher last season.. and love every week of him.. but, this season he transfer to the Redskins from Buf.. so i dont know if he play exactly in type of playing like he used too .
there is few playing in the LB,DL,DB list that above other every year than the others.. that being said.. u dont take IDP player in the start of the draft.. but in the mid-late rounds.. after the main position like QB,RB,WR,1TE are filled and be4 lame K .

Get at least one sure-tackling stud. Sometimes you can take a sleeper pick on a DB or just take Taylor or Landry. I took Ed Reed in my first year of FF (i think three years ago right before his break out season), and it paid off wonderfully.
One guy I would like this year would be Buffalo's safety they took in the first round last year...can't remember his name, but I'm expecting big things from him this year.

Also avoid taking corners unless you can get Champ, because the rest are pretty much crap shoots to get you points (if you HAVE to take a corner, get one who is the most solid in run coverage, such as Ronde Barber, Winfield, or even Rogers who gets his fair share of tackles).

Also Adrian Wilson is incredible. I think he had more fantasy points than Jason Taylor last season.
My league still hasnt agreed to a scoring system...
