idk Yi isn't really that post presence we're looking for not a banger. More like Pecherov.

Yeah I would say his style of play is similar to Pecherov's.
I still think it's dumb that the bucks took him when they knew he didn't want to be there.
They would have been much better off taking Brewing.
Lets just hope a trade happens soon so both sides can get what they want.

They hold on to his rights until the 2008 draft if Yi doesn't play professional ball. If he just stays on the Chinese National Team and doesn't play for the Guadong Tigers, he can enter next year's draft. We held on to Navarro for so long because he was on a pro team in Spain.

They shouldnt even let this idiot in the league at all. You cant just pick and choose where you go, hes lucky enough to be over here. Milwaukee had the pick, Milwaukee made the pick. You shouldnt be able to kick and scream like a ***** until you go where you want. Thats so stupid to me and I hope Milwaukee makes his life a living hell and doesnt cave in to his demands.

Look here folks. Don't blame the kid Yi for this mess, it is not his fault. This is communism doing it's evil deed. They are trying to squeeze every last dime they can from the bucks. Extortion! Extortion! Yi has very litle control over this issue. Remember Yi doesn't live in a free nation like ours.

I don't think it's squeezing every last dime out of the Bucks, but squeezing every last dime out of Yi. The rookie contract Yi gets from the Bucks would be the same he would get from any other team. They have a scale they go by. But, as Milwaukee isn't a big market place, the other extra $$$'s that Yi would make with endorsements, and whatnot, would not be as big if he was in a larger city.

I think teams should have the rights to that person forever until dealt or they get too old to play basketball. If he wants to make very little money compared to the NBA then let him. Dont let him demand....make him play for 3 years for the Bucks

Getting a top Chinese athlete to come to an American league takes alot of negotiations.

Truly, it's just strange that the Bucks took Yi. Say what you like - the Chinese pretty much telegraphed this issue prior to the draft. That the Bucks ignored it is to their detriment. This should have been factored into Yi's draft position. So no, its not fair, but they did state this prior to the draft.

The Bucks were stupid....They were asking for it when they picked the whiner.
