It is time. We need a post Jordan era commissioner who will finally look to the future of the NBA. David Stern has never let go of the time when the NBA was actually worth watching (i.e. the 70s, 80s & 90s). He has put all of his efforts into creating a me, me, me SUPERSTAR mentality that has all but ruined today's game. With this new devastating scandal, it is finally time that the NBA moves on. We need a fresh face that will take this scandal & deal with it in a manner that acknowledges what happened while looking to the future to prevent anything like this from ever happening again. Stern is tainted & is way to stubborn for any serious changes. Good riddance David, don't let the door hit your @ss on the way out. :2cents:

Thanks for listening. :D

He's an egomaniacal dictator who's hurting the personality and charisma of the game just to appeal to White America.

And who do you suggest to replace him?

Are you nuts? David Stern has done a pretty darn good job.

Stern saved basketball once....but I agree that it is past time for him to go. He is now hurting the game he saved. He caves in too easily to the players union and has in recent years made it easier for players to insist on everything and give nothing back. We need someone that will keep people in check and work for the good of the fan not the good of the players. Players should not be able to say they will not play for a team if drafted by that team....See: Yi Jianlian.....Get a Commissioner that is used to going after players and owners and good at investigating difficult subjects.....How about George Mitchell?

David Stern is hugely responsible for the health and viability of the NBA, and has done a lot of really great things over the years. Yeah, he's made his share of dumb mistakes in the last few years, but I'm missing what he's done recently that causes this. I kind of like his stance on the gambling thing.

I dont think he is doing anything wrong as far as his reaction to it.
I just think he will do something wrong.
His recent accomplishments are nothing to write home about and I fear that he will do something wrong before it is over.

I don't think people fully realize or understand this.

I don't think people fully realize or understand this.
Enlighten me. I'm one of those people.

EDIT: And if you're whole position is based on his bizarre dress code thing, don't bother. That is hardly the level of egomaniacal dictator.
