I just called Time Warner to get ESPN College Gameplan again this year. I totally forgot about the Big Ten Network. ESPN Gameplan will carry ZERO Big Ten games. So, I told them to cancel my order.
I then asked if a cable company located in the heart of the ACC was thinking about carrying the Big Ten Network. She told me that, as of right now, no they won't. I told her to **** off and choke on a dick. Only thing I could tell her was to make a note that I would like them to carry it and hopefully they decide to. What the **** am I going to do if I can't watch my Buckeyes?
MOTHER****ING **** SUCKING PIECE OF ****ING ****!!!!!!!
Okay, I'm better now.

Well, duh.
You got the other edge of the sword that is the Big Ten Network. Sorry. :(

well, since you're from west virginia, and you CLAIM to be an ohio state fan because you got osu games instead of wvu games on tv, maybe now it'll be time to root for north carolina. you know, since tv coverage is how you pick your teams.

Time to step it up and get DirecTV.

Damn, Maj. Having a bad week? First, I never said I picked OSU because their games were always on TV. BTW, love the "CLAIM".
PB, so I'm guessing Direct TV will be carrying the Big Ten Network? I have been giving some thought into getting Direct TV.

Yep. Go to the big ten networks website, on the front page, plug in your zip code, and it will give you your options. DirecTV is one for me, so i assume they have it nationwide.
Good luck.
Is this your first football season in ACC territory?

No. I had ESPN Gameplan last year and got to see every OSU game that wasn't nationally televised. Of course, they also hooked me up with games like McNeese State vs. Idaho State. But, I still got to see every OSU game. I'm definitely going to look into Direct TV. Thanks, PB. I'll have to do a search in the Tailgate for the Direct TV thread so I can see what kind of charges I can expect.

You ever hear of sitting on my couch with a beer that doesn't cost $2.50 watching a 56" television?

All i can say is that DirecTV is the best. I have it and i will never switch. Costs me about $90/month, but i have the premium channels, sports package, TiVo and HD. I cant stress this enough....GET HD.

damn cjc, i thought that was pretty funny, and obviously a joke. i'm lazy with smilies nowadays.
ps. you have definitely mentioned the fact that osu was on tv more than wvu as to one of the reasons a mountain state native roots for the buckeyes. but that's beside the point.
well, not really beside the point, but i won't push it. :silly:

Fans of teams in the Big Ten.
Most bars have Comcast, which refuses to carry BTN. Bars that have DirectTv have it for the Sunday Ticket only, the rest of their tv channels are on cable. Living in Big Ten territory, there will be two games this year that I will not get to see due to the BTN.
I don't think that the Big Ten thought this out very well. Hardly any providers are carrying the BTN but there will be at least two games per team on BTN a year.
Anyone that has Dish Network or thinking about getting it who are Big Ten fans, I got this response.
Dear DISH Network Customer,

Dish Network will be get it added as quick as they can, as soon as NFL Network's Direct TV only agreement was up Dish had it. They added MASN recently as well. I have Direct TV at my store and I hate it, I prefer Dish. I have a DVR dual Tuner, 2 HD receivers, premium channels (HBO) and 4 rooms of TV and my bill is $99 and some change.

I believe Dish Network will do their best to get it. I've never had a problem with them and refuse to get something else just because of the Big Ten Network.

I appreciate it. I'm glad I can get the BTN if I decide to drop to a lesser package. I had DirecTV installed a few weeks ago. LOVE IT!!! The only thing I hate is that I don't get my local channels in HD. And that's about the only complaint.
