Jarvis Hayes. In the long tradition of players starting their career in Washington and then becoming champions with the Pistons Jarvis Hayes will now be playing for the Detroit Pistons next season.

Well, let's be fair, Ben Wallace and Rasheed Wallace made other stops along their way to Detroit. Webber didn't win a championship in Detroit and I doubt Hayes will either. His career will continue down the path it has the past four years.

Well good for him. Some didnt even think he would stay in the league and here he gets a chance to go to a good vet team. I cant recall off hand how many of those guys he got to play with in the past but this will be good for him. He will get to work in an organized offense that I think suits him better.

He will probably focus on being a spot shooting and 3 point specialist.

He showed some good signs here and there last season. He still has a chance to contribute on a good team. He just wasnt going to get it done here.

At least now he will be with a coach who plays him objectively based on his talent. This should be very interesting. If he does better there, I wont be surprised.

Absolutely not. When we let Simmons, Wallace, and Hamilton go, they all showed something. Jarvis showed us zilch.

The trainer would have to have him show up for him to have his hands full....Even when he comes to a game Hayes doesnt show up......mentally

I think it says more about the offensive potential of the Wizards in that they let go of a guy supposedly known for his jumper who was a recent #1 pick than it does that Detroit made an astute move toward winning another championship :)

Hayes' numbers in the NBA are pedestrian at best when he was healthy, and that wasn't very often was it?

Hayes will average 15 points a game for a season before it's all said and done. Watch and then recognize my prophet status.
