Use your brain, not your heart, and try and include some reasoning, rather than wild guesses.
I have no idea, having looked at the schedule, so I thought I'd invite some commentary.
Thanks!

OK, after looking over the schedule the optimistic side of me says 9-7.
If we can take Minny in their dome and break that curse of losing in Giants stadium maye 11-5
But:
W 9/9 vs. Dolphins 1pm ET CBS
L 9/17 @ Eagles 8:30pm ET ESPN
W 9/23 vs. Giants 4:15pm ET FOX
W 10/7 vs. Lions 1pm ET FOX
L 10/14 @ Packers 1pm ET FOX
W 10/21 vs. Cardinals 1pm ET FOX
L 10/28 @ Patriots 4:15pm ET FOX
L 11/4 @ Jets 1pm ET FOX
W 11/11 vs. Eagles 1pm ET FOX
L 11/18 @ Cowboys 1pm ET FOX
W 11/25 @ Buccaneers 1pm ET FOX
W 12/2 vs. Bills 1pm ET CBS
W 12/6 vs. Bears 8:15pm ET NFL Network
L 12/16 @ Giants 8:15pm ET NBC
L 12/23 @ Vikings 1pm ET FOX

If I use my brain, I'll know that a specific guess at a record is a waste of time. I think a more reasoned approach involves the use of a range. Using my brain, I think its fair to say that a range from 5-11 to 12-4 is possible.
For 12-4 to happen, we have to have no major injuries on either side of the line, a second WR to step up, a top 10 backfield and LB core, a solid, accurate decision maker in Campbell, and a monster year by Portis and the special teams.
For 5-11 to happen, we need, um, something like last year...

16-0!!! Im using my brain.
Seriously, I think 11-5 and thats what i tell everbody. Hell, we had at least 3 games last year that we could have won if Betts didnt fumble.

I'll go with 9-7 for now... but to be honest I still don't have much of a concrete idea of how we are going to play on offense or defense this year. Maybe I will have a better feel by week 1.

I really don't care how many games we win or loose. As long we get to the Superbowl!

14-2, using my brain and predicting our win-losses results in a massive meltdown that leaves me at the unreasonable.

Fantastic Thread!
I haven't seen one like this in at least an hour.
At least 100 threads since March have asked the same exact question.
I think my standard answer is Who the **** knows?
"Who is going to be the next President?"
"When can I upgrade my computer to a 30Ghz processor?"
"Will Campbell be our next Rypien or our next Heath Shuler?"
"Who would win ST or Riggins?" LOL
All similar questions.

7 at a min. 11 at the most. I was hoping that the redskins would sneak up and make the playoffs, but they are going to have to play better than they did last weekend to make the playoffs. I know that it is a preseason game and only one at that, but the line did not look good at all and if you don't have a good offensive line we are going to be in trouble.

Anywhere from 7-9 to 10-6, most likely 9-7 which should get us in the playoffs at #6.

using my brain i will tell you that we will have somewhere in between 0 and 16 wins.
Honestly I see 9-7 or 10-6, we have the potential to be a division contender, living up to that potential, well thats another story.

you think we will lose to the packers? lambeau doesnt hold the mystique that it used to.
loss to the vikings too? i honestly believe that by the end of the season jackson is going to be a bust at QB and peterson will be hurt.
jets and giants too. i just dont think we should lose to them.
i only singled you out since you broke it down. you have good stats though and i appreciate you putting it out there like that. and i can admit that i am being a little homerish too.:2cents:

Here's the predictions from Kool-Aid Korner:
:koolaid:
Win Sept. 9 Home -- Dolphins (We're ready, they're not)
Loss Sept. 17 Away -- Eagles (McNabb/Westbrook still healthy, Refs save Philly)
Win Sept. 23 Home -- Giants (Eli self-destructs, JC's ontrack)
Win Oct. 7 Home -- Lions (Lion's offense not balanced, and no D)
Win Oct. 14 Away -- Packers (A tight game, but a W)
Win Oct. 21 Home -- Cardinals (50/50 Skins D-line heroics be pivotal for our victory.)
Loss Oct. 28 Away -- Patriots (JC gets his first look at all Belichek's Defensive tricks)
Win Nov. 4 Away -- Jets (50/50 here. Depends on Pennington's health.)
Win Nov. 11 Home -- Eagles (Eagles are dinged up now, we get revenge!)
Win Nov. 18 Away -- Cowboys (50/50. Depends on Dallas O-line, Romo, and Refs.)
Win Nov. 25 Away -- Buccaneers (50/50 unless Garcia's hurting. Post-Dallas hangover?)
Win Dec. 2 Home -- Bills (They would have prefered to be at home in December.)
Win Dec. 6 Home -- Bears (Skins D get Grossman to turn it over, and over ..and over!)
Loss Dec. 16 Away -- Giants (Shouldn't lose, but ...dubious calls, & Springs hurting.)
Win Dec. 23 Away -- Vikings (The dome won't save them)
Win Dec. 30 Home -- Cowboys (50/50. Rivalry vs. Playoff concerns, resting players.)
Bottom Line: An optimistic prediction of 13-3 but this assumes we win all five of the "50/50"' I've identified. If we win at least three of those "50/50" then we'd have a respectable 11-5 and an NFC-East Title. I'd be very surprised if we lose all five, dip below 9-7 and miss the playoffs.
