That type of hit on campbell is exactly why having an all-pro left tackle is the second most important piece behind quarterback in building a super-bowl team. Protecting the quarterback's blind side can never be overrated...we NEED samuels back...

Especially since it was the only time Heyer let his guy past him the whole game.
Players do get around Samuels as well.

I see Heyer being good in a cpl of years, but as of right now, if you watch him run and move, it seems like hes in slow motion. He lumbers when hes running, almost like manute bol did because he was so big, almost uncoordinated like, but not quite.

Heyer looks good, but I'll be very relieved to have Samuels back in there.

It will be nice to get Samuels back but from what we have seen so far Stephen Heyer is looking like a good enough back up right now and will be a starter in the future. A few more games in preseason while Samuels heals is just the experience Heyer requires to come in and spell Samuels in the regular season.
Yet another young player stepping up for us.

I'll be just as glad as everyone else to have Samuels back for Miama, but I give props to Heyer! The guys is a rookie FA and doing a pretty good job IMO. I think the team found a diamond in the rough with that guy, well ok maybe a diamond is stretching it , but a good find nonethless.

^^ Yeah, I'm loving the way Heyer is playing for us. We should all be extremely pleased that we have a guy come from absolutely nowhere stepping up and filling even half the shoes of Samuels with the snap of a finger. Great stuff.

I've been very impressed by Heyer....but I think we do take for granted the contributions that the O-line makes (especially Samuels).
The better the O-line play-- the better the QB and the RB looks.
For example I'll be suprised to see how Johnson does with nobody on KCs Oline this year.

Not to mention it wasnt a sack, it was actually a great completed pass.
It will be nice to see Samuels back in there though.

Just watching the play again and... WTF was Heyer doing? That was pretty bad, even if he did get the pass off. It certainly wasnt a legal hit though.

Samuels has improved so much because of Bugel and so will Heyer. You've got to remember that Samuels has 7 years of NFL conditioning, he knows exactly how to move his feet and pick up his assignments, Heyer has a few months of it.

Chris Samuel is not all that he is cracked upto be. He is a decent blocker, but folks get around him as well.
Heyer is a good prospect, and will improve with time and playing experience. Keep in mind Heyer was not a first round pick ... as Chris was.

I think we have the diamond in the rough and it is possible that next season he may compete for Jansens position if he can switch to the other side. Jansen is a liability and always needs help with his guy. As for those blitzes not being picked up that is sometimes hit or miss and unpredictable.

We have to see Ware, Osi and Cole twice a year...Samuels better be ready soon.

Actually I think that type of hit on Campbell is why that sort of very illegal play should be heavily punished. He may get fined, but IMO, any defensive player that lunges right at a QB's knees should be suspended for at least one game. And yes, that includes a Skins defensive player.
