Here's the good news and the bad news concerning Leonard Davis's showing against the Texans:

Good News: Davis is massive but slow and will get eaten up by a quick DT such as Griffen or Okoye. He had 2 false starts after totally getting burned.

Bad News: This is why I was hoping we'd pick Okoye. The guy smoked Davis several times and was consistantly close to Romo. I also saw him trying to run down Julius Jones after a screen. From what I saw, he's already better than Griffen in the pass rush...sigh.

The Hopeful News: There will be a monster DT from LSU (I forget his name) in the draft next year....here's hoping we can draft him even if we have to trade up!

If anyone else saw the game...what did you think?

im gonna push for them right now, DT Glenn Dorsey of LSU or DE Calais Campbell out of Miami are both top rated prospects. HOwever, they are soo highly touted that they are top 10 predictions right now, and we (hopefully) will not have a pick until the 20th at least.

The Defensive Tackle from LSU is called Glenn Dorsey

I also think highly of Calais Campbell from Miami.

Unfornately I can't answer your question because I didn't see the game.

No US TV in France

We could always draft Sedrick Ellis from USC who's also a pass-rushing DT

With Springs presumed departure after this season, I was thinking CB would be more of an issue. Plus we still don't know what we have in Anthony Montgomery -- sounds like he was having a pretty good preseason.

I think OG will be a need also.

And I am going to say b/c I am usually wrong about this...TE. Please for the love of Christ let me be wrong!!

Strange, because I've read reports that Houston thinks Okoye may be a bust -- or at least hasn't impressed.

Next year will be time for a WR or OL we haven't taken a first round Offensive player in a while....

I don't think we need to pull the trigger on a top rated DT hopefully Montey and Golston can take a step forward this year and fill that role for us for years to come....

I'm looking to fill Springs spot (only if necessary) in FA not the draft....it's hard to draft a shutdown corner unless you are at the top of the board which I hope we are not...

DE is also another position of need so the kid from Miami would be fine if it were to happen although from everyone's take on him I doubt we would be in the right position...

I still feel WR or OL should be our first round pick.....

On second thought.....F that...take the best player available....it's worked so far this year....AREA 51 BITCHES!!!!!!!!!!!

first we need to find out who the FA are at CB, OG and DT and DE next year. Depending on who that is and who we sign, the skins should really look at a young WR, OL or DT for the first round. At this point tho i don't know who'd be available as the 32nd pick :silly:

With Smoot and Rogers we should be fine at CB for a while.

If they can resign Kendall, then the guard situation is moot.

We need a stud DT or DE. I fear this year will prove that.

Possibly, but Kendall is 34. While I am certainly glad he's here, he isn't much more then a stop gap.

I think maybe DE, I like our DTs heading into next year...but for the love of all that is holy and good in this world:

Lenorad Davis has underachieved since hes was a high draft pick. Thank god we didnt shell $49 M at this guy. Never really liked what ive seen on him film from a technique stand point. He's got great physical attributes, but takes many plays off during the course of a game

Having three capable CB's is beter than two so when Springs goes we need to replace him.

We need to draft a replacement for Kendall. Hopefully, we get two good years out of him. I don't see him playing after that.

If Lloyd fails we need to draft a WR, however, we should draft one anyway for down the road.

I think stud DE is more important. The left DE's are getting old and I see either Wynn or Daniels departing next season. Perhaps look long term for a Grif replacement.

This all depends if they can sign Kendall to a 2 or 3 year extension at the end of this season.

As for DT, Montgomery scares the hell out of me at 2 gap. He'll have to prove himself this year.

and SIGN CHRIS COOLEY!!!
