View Full Version : Looking for some Irish fans

Any Notre Dame Irish fans who want to try and make their case for this upcoming week?

I respectfully submit that you will suffer another ass whipping at the hands of Penn State, and if I didn't have to go to my nephew's baptism, I'd watch every glorious second of it on ESPN. Yes, for a baptism, I don't believe it either.

Anyway, I don't really care if you start Sharpley, Clausen, or the other guy, I'm sure all three will get to know Dan Connor and Sean Lee on a personal basis, perhaps even float a pass or two safely into the arms of Justin King.

59-0 for PSU. 3-33 for Notre Dame last week.

Using the following formula (and statistical modeling)...(PSU(Connor+Lee*PaternoIsGod + 110,000 Fans/White Out*Beaver Stadium=Total Awesomness) > Clausen-Charlie Weis' fat ass/gastric bypass *Zbikowski-punchdrunk boxer +too many seniors graduating = sucktastic...

...the score for this week's game should be something like 52-7, in Penn State's favor, which I may or may not have pulled out of my ass.

Either way, payback for last year is going to be hell.

Jimmy Clausen is a heck of a young Qb. Also, this past week's score is not indicative of the Notre Dame football team. Georgia Tech just really took advantage of the opportunities given to them on the field.

Just kidding, I was just watching JoePa's presser and it sounded something like that.

Fight On State!!!

JoePa's press conferences always sound like that...a mixture of really sandbagging and then getting irritated at the press for actually asking him questions. It's one of the more amusing things...how good can JoePa make the opponent sound, even FIU? To read his comments, you'd have thought week one was going to be a 20-17 squeaker.

He never gives the other team an article to hang up in the locker room and I love that about him.

The first 2 posts in this thread both made me laugh out loud.

Good job guys. :applause:

And i agree that ND will get beaten like an old rug.

Lou Holtz is such a Notre Dame homer. He's picking the Irish over Penn State. He said they have a really good defense and Claussen (freshman) is a good qb that came to ND to win championships. Their "D" gave up 33 to GT at home and Claussen has yet to prove himself.

You know what no matter how good Clausen's suppossed to be, he'll suck because he's a Clausen.

Oh man, that was sweet...I caught some of it at the restaurant, they had it on in the bar...I had to "go to the bathroom" a number of times. Our defense is sick this year, we still haven't given up a point to an offense, just some special teams breakdowns.

Nice job on Notre Dame's #26, ripping off a helmet...jerk.

Oh, and would anyone like to say a kind word for Michigan...besides Rest in Peace.

i'm not going to lie, it was very sweet to be at the game to watch the clausen family cry from long distance. i understand that this clausen kid had a million touchdowns in high school, but the clausen family is just not good at producing quality quarterbacks. if i had a quarterback coach from the age of 12, i'd probably be a pretty good quarterback too, and i can barely throw the ball.

nice to see people reppin' old state here on this message board.

i watched my brother go to UVA for four years, and not enjoy a single year of having a great sports team (lacrosse doesn't count, as much as i love it). Thank god i came to penn state to enjoy our resurgence, starting my sophomore year with ohio state and the orange bowl, and who knows what this year.

if we finish out undefeated, a definite possibility, who is to say we might not make the national championship game? we currently have 2 top ten games scheduled, and wisconsin and ohio state may rise even further than the 7 and 10 spots that they currently occupy. barring a brainfart against michigan, we definitely have a chance. god i'd love to see that happen

Hear are my words of advice for PSU: BEAT MICHIGAN AND THEN COME BACK TALKING.......ITS BEEN A LONG 10 YEARS FOR YOU ALL..

I find it funny that you manage to keep bashing Michigan considering you havent beaten us in ages and the fact is your program was struggling to get to .500 a couple years ago......Michigan owns PSU and thats the fact.

last i checked, michigan is 0-2 and lost to a division 1-AA team. penn state never suffered that sort of embarassing indignity. stop being defensive, just because your team sucks doesn't mean you need to get up in arms. just do what penn state did, bite your lip, fight through the bad year or two, then come back and finish in the top 3.

but michigan probably won't do that, because they recruit low-class punks like chad henne. good riddance to him. funny, with an 80 year old coach in the same conference, its your team that looks like it has the over the hill coach...

Ahh u jealous about Henne since we stole him from PSU and he basically told you all to go F off. You sound like a jealous little baby over the success our school has had in the last ten years while PSU has been nothing but a scheduled homecoming opponent...U still dont get the fact that we own you and until you beat us you should shut your mouth....Seriously, when was the last time you beat Michigan??? Yea we look like crap this year and we arent a very good defensive team but that will make it much better when we kick your asses again this year.....PSU never suffered embarrasing indignity u say? Really didnt your team finish under .500 a few years ago? that is the biggest joke of all......Michigan has not finished under .500 since Bo took over the program..PSU can't even put together consecutive successful seasons....I mean u guys are our wipping boys in the B10 we own you..Get over it and man up.....Oh and talk about over the hill coach. Is JoePA dead yet? because honestly he looks like a skeleton out there......talk about last their prime.......JoePA is an old washed up has been.....Its sad b/c the only thing he does now is cry to officials when his team loses....U just dont get it thats the funny thing........Big man for talkin up his school against a school his team hasn't beaten since u have been in dipers....

penn state finished 11-1 and 9-4 in the last two years, and are 2-0 in the last two bowls we went to... can't remember the last time michigan won a bowl game.

you look like a notre dame fan, harping back on all the great things that have been done long in the past. let's talk recent history, my friend. you are the most angry, unseated individual i have met that is not a cowboys fan. i am very very glad that henne chose your school, had he come to penn state, we would never have enjoyed winning the orange bowl in 2005, because henne can't win the big game, and michael robinson was a rock that helped rebuild our team. by the way, henne is now not playing, and morelli, a fellow senior, is leading a team that is now 3-0. henne hasn't won a game in nearly a year....

i find it funny that you choose to make fun of joe paterno, one of the only people in college football history that truly cannot be ripped on. he is the most high-class, generous and truly great coaches in the history of the sport, and your coach can't beat a division 1-AA team. continue to say that paterno is over the hill, and that the game has passed him by, you just sound like every joe gibbs hater in the world, i hope you enjoy living as a hypocrite.

you continually harp on your 10-0 streak on penn state, which is very well and good. we have had a lot of trouble beating michigan, but seriously, find another defense, because being 1-2, with your only victory being against a sorry team coached by a fat cow and quarterbacked by a girl is pretty sad. since we have come into the big 10, we have had 2 down years, the rest of the time have finished in the top 3, so continue with your hyperboles on how bad penn state is, because anyone who knows anything about college football is too smart to buy into your grade-school trash talk.

by the way, we finished below .500 several years ago, but last time i checked, you are below .500 RIGHT NOW. live in the present, or at least recent past. judging by the way your team has looked this year, you aren't beating OSU, you aren't beating wisconsin, you might not even beat purdue or MSU. i highly doubt you beat psu this year, but even assuming you do, you still won't break .500. hey, at least one bright spot; you don't have to worry about losing that bowl game this year, because you won't be in one!

As a Michigan fan, it's hard to talk **** right now - but that win felt good... REAL good. Findng money in the street good. And the shutout made it feel like finding money in street while getting a blowjob good. :)

ND is gong to have a tough time being Duke, Navy and Air Force. 3-8 could actually be the best scenario for them
