That nasty injury bug keeps attacking the Giants, even if he has been somewhat of a bust!

I would love to see Grant run wild on his former team!

DT Joseph placed on IR

The Giants have placed DT William Joseph on injured reserve with a back injury. Joseph, who was inactive for Sunday's loss to the Cowboys, was moved to IR to make room for Russell Davis, who was signed yesterday.

Yep, it was another disappointing season for the team's first-round pick in 2003. He's signed through 2009 so his career with the Giants isn't quite over yet but he's got some work to do to get back to health and in the good graces of the team.

FYI, I'm told by a source who asked to remain nameless that RB Ryan Grant will be ready to go against his former mates on Sunday. That should make for an interesting storyline, especially if the Don Bosco grad rips off a few long runs.

The source also said the Giants' locker room was stunned when the Grant trade went down and the players believe he's going to be a successful NFL running back. Grant will get the chance to prove it on Sunday.

You always hate to see one of your old teammates come bak to haunt you...Yep, and he'll run right over the spot that bust 1st rounder Joseph should have been playing!

For some reason this thread reminded me of the short-lived Ryan Fowler hype. Does anyone know if he is a starter?

*Edit: Looks like he is the starter. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3004036

Sorry to take this thread in such an unrelated direction, but I figured I'd at least follow up on the non-sequitor I injected into this conversation.

Sorry to take this thread in such an unrelated direction, Not completely unrelated, I hope Grant makes a bigger splash on his former team this week than Fowler made in his debut! How can a starting MLB have only 1 tackle:doh: ......unless he was injured.:whoknows:He must bring something to the table for two teams to battle over a virtual unknown.

You're not just sore because Fowler stiffed the Eagles are you?

I'm not sore at all. I don't know anything about the guy, expect that the Eagles apparently liked him a lot and so did the Titans.

05 was the Eagles, 06 was the Skins, 07 is the Giants. Hopefully 08 is Dallass. The Giants have taken the brunt of the injuries so far. You never know with the way all the teams are being hit by injuries after just one week. :2cents:
