madden 08- beating the cover 3

I have a really hard time beating the cover 3 defense. The cover 2 isn't so hard because once the receiver gets behind the corner and in front of the safety, it's an easy completion. But the cover 3 is really hard. I'll send moss and lloyd deep, but the safety in the middle of the field is able to make a play for it. Or he'll pretty much have that safety roll towards mosses side, leaving lloyd with a one on one matchup, which he can't beat. Any good routes for the cover 3?

Hit Santana on the 10-yard out route he will run. This will be putting Santana Moss up against a nickel corner, or in some cases the LOLB. It's probably my most effective play against the cover 3, or any other defense really. Just make sure you use precision passing to the right. Because its a direct out route, it works best when you're on the left hash mark.

I'd prefer something that I could call at the line. like a moss fly pattern, or something of that sort.

Did you watch the skins vs miami game? They were able to move the ball by running slants, curls, and quick outs. Apply the same in the game.

If you practice it and you get good with the sticks, the play I suggested along with a couple others can be your bread and butter for both franchise and online play. I run my offense hash to hash, with a steady diet of out routes to speedy recievers and runs up the gut. So far its been working, im on ring 3 and im 16-0 in ranked matches with 7 DNFs against me. Madden 08 is designed to be played realistically, especially on offense, so going deep every play doesn't work anymore. I have maybe 2 or 3 home run plays that i call very rarely, other than that i go down the field methodically, and thats what i'd recommened to anybody who is having trouble getting their offense clicking.

Do I slant the receiver in or out? Quick outs don't work because the flats are covered. Curls are also hard the complete because of the defended in the flats.
