Wow, these are profound and great power rankings. Seems like it too you a long time to compile your power rankings which coincide with the win/loss records of NFC teams.
That being said, you have the Eagles as the 11th best team in the conference is a complete joke. Stop doing power rankings and do what you do best which must be giving handjobs in public restrooms.
Ok, that last comment was just a joke! ;)

No need, TR1. I will continue to post the weekly rankings, as long as i can, and as Dallas Tanks they will fall. for example Week 3 rankings will be worthless in week 10. Thats the fun of a weekly ranking. Its much different then those predictions./........specially when i picked the freakin Giants to win the NFCE in my forst predictions thread.

You have GB as the best team in the NFC. I don't care what their goddamn record says; they are not the best team in the conference. If the Eagles play them 10 times, the Eagles win 7 or 8 of them.

I think your power rankings are complete crap. It is devoid of thought and reasoning. They are a simple exercise where you list the teams in order of their current records. I'm sorry if this insults you but they suck.

Funny, week 1 I said the same exact thing...and i bet a co-worker ($50.00) that the Eagles would finsh the season ahead of them. I also think the Eagles will eventually find there way back to the top of this ranking, but as it stands, they have only played one good game all year. They should beat the Giants this week, but if they lose, they will be in a bit of some trouble.
GB is playing good ball and no one can deny that. I call it as I see it from week to week, and right now, the Packers look the part of the best NFC team.

Here is why you have no credibility after these rankings. You have to at least do a little research. You say you have to give them credit because they are 2-1, but you don't do the same for other teams. I compared the Skins and Seattle who you have behind them (also 2-1). Seattle is arguable but having the Skins 7 teams behind is laughable. I'm not trying to insult you, just showing you why you are getting these comments.
SF 49's 2-1 (TRPB Ranking #3)
Offense - NFL Rank 31 (223 YPG)

Seattle 2-1 (TRPB Ranking #6)

Skins showed that they have some serious issues to tend to after the loss to the Giants at home. We all know that the Ginats going into that game had about as bad as a def as you can get. The Skins need to really work on their bye week and come back at home and beat the lions....if not, this team could be in for a long season.
Zona is just better then the skins right now, they have had it tough the first three weeks, and lost a close one to a very good Ravens club in B-more.........
Saeattle confuses me. i have no idea what they are right now.

as much as it pains me to say this, IMO Washington should be ranked higher, certainly above Arizona. They are definitely top 5 in the NFC. I wish they weren't, but they just are. Philly is harder to call. They looked dangerous against Detroit, but who knows. It also depends on the health of 36. If he is out for any period of time, they are done....

They are bad rankings. Seattle confuses you so you rank them lower then the 49's. The Skins have a bad half so they are finished. The 49's barely beat 2 bad teams then get crushed by a good team and they are ranked #3. Bad rankings TRPB, very bad rankings.

Do you really still think that the Skins are one of the best teams in the NFC? Bears are a good team. Zona lloks real tough, and TB is playing tough ball. Panthers.....well i gotta say, I am not sure about them and think they could have very easily lost to the stinking falcons,

TR, Zona does not look real tough agaisnt a TOUGH defense. They had to use Warner to bring them back, instead of their franchise QB. Panthers are what we think they are, a mediocre team with an all world WR. The Bears are reverting back to '05 form, no offense what so ever. I think we are better than these 3 teams, IMO.

sure TR1...whatever you say.
Dallas is over rated and not very good even after beating the Bears. (Bears now suck) Dallas is a dink and dunk offense....oh wait....did't you say, you would address that AFTER the Bears game...well we are wating???
Back toi the Bears...ok TR1, whats your take on the Bears are they a playoff team this year?
The Bears shut down two good running games in SD and KC. They just got beat up on in the 2nd half by one of the better off in the NFL. That dosn't make them a horrible team....and you shoud learn from this...It was you and others that called the NY Giant team a "high school" defense....and that they were by far the worst team in the conference....how ya feeling about that now? and how must you feel about the Skins when they have to play that "bad" Bears team?

You have to be kidding right?
you mean the same Miami team that despite 5 gimme turnovers still had a chance of beating the pokes until the last 4 minutes of the game?
So the Skins beating the eagles was a fluke? on the Road? on Monday Night Prime time, the same eagle team that out played a packer team (who you have ranked high) the week before but lost on two bonus muffed punts? Then beat the crap out of the Lions (again a team you have ranked higher)
keep telling yourself fairy tales, but here discuss reality, the Skins defense is very good, Special teams are one of the best in the NFL so far, and though the offense sputtered in the second half against the Giants, still had a chance of sending the game into OT, after fumbling away the go ahead TD... The Skins Offense is putting up some important key stats to suggest their ability and potential. There is no way to assume they are the best team in the NFC, but they without any doubt in the top 5 on the NFC... even media power rankings (which I only use as an example...) have the skins in the top 14 of the NFL, even after the loss

In CANADA i get about 8 games a weekend plus the monday night game usually, got plenty of channels in our residence. Now mongolia i think they get a grand total of 0 if I'm not mistaken. I watched GB beat the eagles, I watched washington beat the eagles, I watched all the giants games and i watched two dallas games. And i also watch highlights, so where do you get off reading the eagles message board, watching one good game's highlights and proclaiming dominance? Did those mongols rough you up or something? You got some screws missing right now. Its embarrassing to even talk to someone who watches highlights on nfl.com (like 2 min every game) and thinks they know jack about what went down. Like in 2005, we could have said that KC and denver should have been wins but we lost both of those. We also lost 3 straight games where we had a lead in the 4th to the chargers, raiders and bucs. We need to improve those areas if we want to win 11 or more games. u can get by with 10 wins with poor clock management and other things like we did in 2005

The skins are defintely a top 5 team in the nfc and should we improve and JC learns enough to not depend on this coaching staff we will be on the right track

You are right. Where in the world do I get off criticizing someone who ranked Detroit above Philly after Philly beat them 56-21. What a moron I am.
I agree. You are a moron. You want to stick with the philly is better than detroit, I won't argue, however, you made a point of laughing at TRPB because he had GB over you guys.
yet you haven't seen one down all year, but you said you could beat GB 7-8 times out of 10??
Someone please send WB a DVD of the philly vs Skins game last monday night. Once you see that WB, it will all make sense to you.

If you say so pal.
At home, go to Overtime against Miami, win by 3
I will give you credit for winning MNF on the road in Philly, but to sit here and pretend Philly was even average in that game and your just fooling yourself. That was the worst philly game I have ever seen, and don't give me the "defense" did it to them. McNabb was awful, maybe he was sniffing glue in the lockerroom, but he most certainly wasn't himself.
Giants. Your coaching staff is horrible. Giants flat out beat you, at home. If it weren't for the pick by Eli in the first half, you wouldn't have even been in the game. And lets not kid ourselves, Plaxico was about 50% in that game too.
You want to say your top 5 in the NFC, thats your right, but nobody else outside of skins fans would agree with you.
Detroit is going to score 30 on you.

Congrats on being clueless.
How much time have you spent in Iraq? Do you have an opinion on the war? Once something becomes a matter of factual record, people can form opinions even if they don't see it with their own eyes.
In the 50s-70's, the advent of television hadn't hit the world like it is today along with the internet. All those people that listened to games over a radio and talked about the league the next day were all wrong?
You are a Canadian; seriously, let the Americans talk about the finer points of our sport.

From what I seen, the Eagles weakness the first two games has been their offense getting into gear. The defense has been a definite plus for the team. This was my only concern coming into the year.
McNabb removes his knee brace and we put a 56 spot on the Lions. RIGHT NOW, I have a feeling on what the Eagles are.
Power rankings are gay because you don't look at what teams are right now; you look at a cumulative performance appraisal of the entire year. Ok, if you take all three games into account, the Eagles are 1-2 and are worse than 7 teams in the NFC.
If you look at the skill set and talent/scheme of each team, the Eagles (if they figured out their offensive dilemma which I think they just might have) are top 3 NFC.

Cowboy fan here and I don't think it is such a huge stretch to have the Skins as #5 in NFC. This weeks ESPN poll has them #6 (14 overall) and Im sure you could find other power polls with similar results. I generally watch NFCE games and don't consider myself an expert on rankings of all 32 teams, especially this early in the season, but I have been impressed with their improved D and expect continued maturation of JC to only help a very strong running attack.

Maybe not a huge stretch, but I can honestly say
Dallas
Green bay
Chicago
Seattle
Carolina
Tampa
and possibly detroit are better than the skins right now.
Thier Defense seems to fine, but JC or the coaches, take your pick, handcuffs them.

While I agree power rankings are pretty stupid, especially this time of year, for you to sit here (in Mongolia) and talk about who looks good and who looks bad when you fully admit you haven't seen squat this year, you're just making yourself look dumb.
I have tremendous respect for McNabb, but trust me when I say this.......outside of the Detroit game, he has looked HORRENDOUS. And while I didn't actually watch the detroit game (my stomach couldn't take the uni's), I did see the other two games, and he was GodAwful.
But I'm sure sitting in Mongolia, you know more than I do.
And if you think that because he took a knee brace off, and he's going to be back to the old McNabb we all know.............well, you're out of your Mongolian mind.

This I do agree with you. I watched all the Skins vs NYG game and paid attention to JC and the lenghts of his passes. I have had previous discussions refuting someone who wanted to call Romo, MRdinkanddunk. As you said, I don't know how many were the primary or secondary reads but it I know there were a ton of drop offs to RBs and short passes to Cooley. I would expect to see JC become a little more "unleashed" and if so I think stretching the field will only help a strong rushing attack and ultimately wins/losses.

4-Chicago 1-2
5-Panthers-2-1
6-Seattle- 2-1
7-Tampa Bay 2-1
8 Detroit. 2-1
9 Zona- 1-2
10-Skins 2-1
11-Philly- 1-2
12 NY 1-2
13-Minny 1-2
14 Saints 0-3
15 Rams 0-3
16- Atlanta 0-3
What scientific method are you using to devise you power rankings? You have the Skins behind a bunch of teams that are (first off) inferior and (second off) worse records. You power rankings dont make much sense. Hence the reason they suck.

Ive always respected you and your post. I know my rankings arent the best, and they are based on my opinion, and on what I have seen so far. The rankings change from week to week, and the skins did fall pretty far. That was based on the loss at home to the Giants, who are just not a very good team. But after further review, the Skins didnt do as much harm to themselves as I first thought. They beat the Eagles on the road and that is a game that they wernt supposed to win...its a trade off. ut it is what it is, and next week they are on a bye and will definitly go up and not down.

I am Hiawatha. Thank you for asking.
I didn't realize it was important to know who someone pulls for in order to agree or disagree with thier opinion.
I'm always been fond of the New Jersey Generals if you must know.:silly:
Fact is, you can play the.....he beat them, but they beat us, and we beat them over there, all day long. It will get you nowhere.
If you watch football you will know that one game by itself is rather meaningless, you must look at the whole of its parts.
Right now there is definetely 1, maybe as many as 3 teams in the NFC that are ahead of the pack. The Cowboys, the Packers, and possibly the Eagles.
The packers have had 2 games at home, and should have been beaten by the Eagles if it weren't for a failed catch of a punt.
The Eagles destroyed the Lions and should have beaten Greenbay. They came out and played the skins and looked like a JV high school team. I find it hard to believe that it was the skins who made them look that bad, but instead it was themselves just looking terrible.
I base this on the skins barely beating a horrific Miami team in DC during the skins opener, and getting beat, at home, by a subpar Giants team.
Dallas has looked the best so far, however, defensively they were horrible against the Giants, but seemed to button it down a little more against Miami and the bears. They have also only played 1 game at home thus far, and pummelled the defending NFC champions.
After those three teams though, the drop off is big.
