I mean the guy obviously has the athletic ability to play at the next level, any chance someone gives him the chance to QB as a pro?

He will be picked up, but will not start for a few seasons.

He will be another Randle El I think.

I think he will likely be converted to RB or more likely, WR. Much like Ronald Curry.

He'll go pro in baseball, not football. He's already been drafted (twice) by the Angels.

I've been having a considerably losing season in my NCAA thoughts (see my name for reference), but I guarantee someone will pick him up just as someone picked up Vince Young. At least of what I've seen - mostly Big Ten competition, but - he's a great scrambler, and a decent pocket QB at times. I think he'll at least get drafted higher than Troy Smith

Is Pat that good of a pitcher?? Good for him

I still would love to see him as a Randle El type player, he can wreck havoc on the field given the right matchups.

Just remember, for every Vince Young or Michael Vick, there's an Eric Crouch. QB's who can run like Pat White are often converted to skill positions, and sometimes they don't pan out. I had no idea he even played baseball, good for him if he decides to go that route.

ARE worked out, Hines Ward, Drew Bennett, Matt Jones, Patrick Creighton are all good.

I cant name many flops........because no one remembers the flops. Ronald Curry (UNC)? Brad Smith (Iowa)?

Why don't you do yours? He was a pitcher/outfielder on two state championship baseball teams.

While his speed and field coverage means he will likely go the route of an OF, if he can't hit - its not unreasonable to expect someone to move him to the pitching ranks.

I still think he will end up being a WR in the NFL though.

Dude, I said in my post they're often converted to skill positions. Everyone of those names you just listed was converted to wide receiver in the pros. I think you just found a backhanded way of proving my point. Thanks.

I thought Eric Crouch was converted to a Safety, for the NFL? He tried originally to be a WR but his build couldn't take the impact of hits.

Last I heard, he was deep into the bench trying to play QB in the CFL.

I believe he also quit football because they wouldn't let him try out for the QB position in St. Louis, I could be wrong though.

He's going back to baseball, folks.

And while true, he was a pitcher in high school, he's been drafted by the Angels both times as an outfield prospect alone.

If he plays in the NFL it's not going to be at QB.
