I think you sign him and you tell him he's starting Sun. You throw the ball to him every play until he says he needs a breather. Depending on how many catches he has, you grab him by his facemask and you tell him he can play in this league and get his head out of his ass and play with the god given talent and instincts he's been given. Insert back in game.
Then I wake up.... realize what I've thought.... and do this....:paranoid:....and this..

Heh - cut Brandon, sign Taylor back. At least he knows the system, and will be a lot cheaper than Brandon. And they're both eventually going to be inactive for us on Sundays.

Sign Jacobs to the practice squad to give our defense a look against Jerry Rice every week...just make sure he never makes the roster and never sees the field so the fans don't have to remember that Taylor Jacobs is wearing a Redskins jersey.

Taylor Jacobs?
Hmmmmmmmm. Taylor Jacobs.
Taylor Jacobs. You know, I'm sure I've heard that name before.
Taylor Jacobs. Can't quite place it, though.
Jacobs, Jacobs, Jacobs. Hmmmmmmmm.
Nope. Can't remember him. Who was that guy?
(Was he really here that long?)

I'm beginning to wonder about Nolan. Their passing game looked absolutely horrible against the Seahawks. Jacobs caught a TD pass in Pittsburgh the week before. How bout cutting your QB's, who can't seem to hit the side of a barn. Dilfer looks horrible and Smith looks worse. It's hard to put up numbers when the QB can't hit your area code.

The Niners have one TD pass in 4 games and that one was to Taylor Jacobs. He can't cut a break with a team familiar with the forward pass.

He is done as a NFL reciever
That would be an accurate statement if he ever WAS an NFL receiver.
I think my wife has caught more balls and she's only caught mine!

Did you see Trent Dilfer trying to throw passes Sunday? Jacobs would've had a fighting chance if he was a CB for the Seahawks.:2cents:
