Just caught a bit of the Kentucky-South Carolina game, (it's tied, BTW). They just had a commercial for "IBM's 100 greatest football players", for #22, George Gipp.

Other than the movie reference, they mentioned a few things I didn't know.

They said he held the Notre Dame rushing record for 50 years.

And they said that he also played defense, and that no opponent ever completed a pass to the man he was covering. (Granted, they didn't mention if he only played defense for 10 plays, or something.)

(Which makes me wonder why he's only #22.)

I noted that he was higher than Reggie Bush. Then i thought about what would happen if Reggie Bush played in the 1920's. :laugh:
