On kickoffs, if u can get the ball thru the goal posts, u get 1 extra point. So essentially, you can get a potenial of 9 pts on 1 possession. :laugh:

i think that would be a good idea. That is a 75 yard field goal and if you can make it, hell give'em a point.

Canadian Football does something similar to this, only you just have to kick through the endzone, not through the uprights.

Yeah if you can kick 75 yards thru the uprights, you deserve a point. That would change football strategy big time also. Teams would have 3 kickers, an accurate field goal guy, a punter and the kick off guy.

They also play with 3 downs instead of 4. Some bizzare kicking rules as well. I think it makes more sense if you understand rugby and Australian football since it borrows a little from those sports.

I do remember reading that Janikowski, at FSU, had something like 20 kickoffs go through the uprights.

Granted, I think they were kicking from the 40, then. And college goalposts are wider. But still, it's impressive.

Maybe they should allow the extra point on the kick off if the team fails to get a 2 point conversion on a previous score.
