View Full Version : No need to panic, but a question on conditioning...

It is rare that I am going to get bent out of shape about a road loss to a team with a winning record. You are supposed to lose those games. It's fantastic if you win them, but it's not the end of the world if you lose.
I'm not going to kill Moss - though he has kind of stunk this year. I'm not going to kill the coaches. I'm not going to kill Portis. I'm not going to kill anyone really.
Except maybe the training/conditioning staff. Am I crazy or are we have an insane number of leg muscle pulls this year? Is the team not in shape or is it just dumb luck? That was the key to the game today. They were healthier.

They would have MURDERED the Packers if they didn't F up so much. It's one thing to play well and lose but it's another to lay a smelly turd like that.

I have been saying this since last year. Ever since "Mother" Dunn left, it seems we have had more pulls and sprains. :2cents:

Great post!!! It's all back to basics. Conditioning! It was huge when I played. We praised ourselves on being able to score in the 2nd half and 4th quarter. And that seems to be when we have a downfall. I could definately agree. Nice LKB.

Well, in a normal year, I don't think NE would get too bent out of shape about losing on the road to a potentially "elite" NFC team. This year, they seem to have bigger goals than just home field advantage in the playoffs. I think Belichik legitimately wants to go 16-0 (which, honestly, is kind of nuts).

Who is our conditioning coach? Maybe we need a new one.

Seems a little dramatic.
I would just like to know if our number of groin/hammy/calf injuries is higher than the mean. That's all.
I don't know anyone who tracks this stuff though.
(Isn't it great when I am the voice of reason? I live for this).

Unexcusable to have this many hamstring and groing pulls. It is just a matter of getting in shape.

So far this year, Wade, Rabach, Moss, Randle El.... who else?
Is this a fluke or is something going on here? I am starting to think that the training staff is actually not doing a very good job.

I don't know much about the injury (groin), but I don't see how an injury can be blamed on the training staff. If an injury occurs and is not treated properly then you can blame the staff.

I am with you on this one. The sad part is that after every loss - Gibbs appears not to give his players a tounge lashing, or do something to motivate them to play harder/smarter.

Let me be more specific, I was thinking along the lines of the strength and condition part of the training staff. As in, we are not properly working the lower lengths, or stretching them, or something.
Makes no sense?

maybe they should get some bigger n better balls.. that way they can stop having groin injuries.. and also stop being so damn conservative all the time.. :) lol

Conditioning?
Stretching?
Like I said, I don't know. Just wondering.
