While we all bemoan the fact that, once again, we're looking up at the Cowboys sitting atop the NFC East, relate to this: the combined record of the teams Dallas has beaten is 12-27.
Can you say..... OVER-RATED (clap, clap, clap-clap-clap)..... OVER-RATED (clap, clap, clap-clap-clap)?!?

I have said all along that Dallas needs to get as many wins in the 1st half of the schedule that they can. The second half is much more challenging.
With that being said the loss to the G-men is the one thats going to hold us back this year within the division I believe.

Can you say this?
They are beating teams they are supposed to beat and not losing games to worse teams?
Thats what good teams do. They have no control over there schedule, but they control what they do in games and they are doing things well right now. They still blow donkey chunks in my mind but I'm ok with saying they are playing well right now

True...they are beating bad teams. But the Skins haven't beaten anyone all that good either. It still looks like the Cowboys offense is light-years ahead of the Redskins.

Only the offense. We did smash the Lions, and I guarantee the Cowboys won't do as good as we did against their offense. Even though we didn't win against the Packers, we shut down Favre, and the #1 pass offense at the time. All we need is balance, and we wouldn't have lost the 2 games we have.

In correct. The Pats 7 wins do not count in that total as the Pats beat Dallas and the OP was only showing the records from the teams Dallas has beat.

Definitely. Why is TO and Jason Witten always open?

Their win against the Giants is looking a bit more impressive. That's the only good team they've beaten so far this year.
4 weeks from now we'll be able to make a direct comparison. So far the Cowboys look like the best team in the NFC. However, that's not really saying much.

And all this talk about taking more than a year to learn the offense that Saunders employs. Well, we're way past that one-year mark, and I don't see much improvement. Yet the Cowboys are under a 1st year coordinator and are tearing it up.
Either they are much more talented or Garrett is a much better teacher...

I actually think the Top 3 teams are Giants, Cowboys, Skins in that order. If we played in the second half, the order could change. Seattle is getting better as well

They have not beaten a team that has had a winning record going into the game against the Cowboys. Even the Eagles were able to beat a team with a winning record at the time they played.

We'll find out just how "overrated" both teams (Pats & Cowboys) are in the next upcoming weeks. . .when we play them. . .
Dallas won the easy games they are supposed to--that is more than we can say.
All this talk about overrated and underrated is BS.
You are what you are--as indicated by your record. At the end of this week we will in all probability be a 4-3 team, above average, nothing more.
Dallas is the best team in the conference right now because they have the best record. . .they could lose two games after we lose to Pats, and still be tied with us. . .
I hope we beat them, but until we do, stop making excuses, which is a habit of losers, and give the team that is winning the credit that is due. If we had won at GB and NY, you would laugh at teams that called us overrated, just like they do at guys like you.
If Dallas is that overrated, we should beat them. . .

The only chance we have had was the Pats... I would assume that if the Eagles played the Pats they would also lose...

So they are 6-0 against bad teams. Isn't that how it's supposed to be done? Beat all the bad teams on your schedule, split with the good teams, and you are probably one of the top seeds going in.
If they were 3-3 against bad teams, this would be a good argument. But they are 6-0.

Thats a little more than 12 to me. We need to worry about our inept offense helping out our own defense before worry about what Dallas is doing.

I really thought the Vikes would play the Cowboys like they played the bears they they may have come away with the win . Okay you want to give your boy Tarvaris Jackson some hope but against one of the best teams in the division is not the time .
The cowboys strength on defense like the bears comes from the pass rush not from good coverage as with Newman is the only guy in that back 7 i would stay away from . You can beat an aggressive pass rushing team by running the ball down their throats wear them down and get your passing game going off play action and against a tired defense.
What Childress seems to have done is gone away from what they do well in running thw ball to try and exploit a perceived Cowboys weakness against the pass (they rank 16th against the pass and 7th against the run ...but their offense tends to jump out to big leads and teams rarely try and run on them..
To answer the OP point though I wouldn't say they are over rated but they are not on another level like the Pats are in the AFC
