The mediats are barely mentioning the fact that the Patriots have to play the Redskins and Indy has to play Carolina!
I even heared that black lady on espn2 (Name?) say"Let's keep our fingers crossed that they both are undefeated when they play each other!"
WTH is that?
Heck...I would at least understand if the Pats and Colts were playing the Rams and Dolphins before they meet, but the Pantehrs and Skins are both 4-2 and more than capable of winning their games.....Specially Carolina!
These Points spreads and all really got me nervous,if you know what I mean?
I'm just a little more concerned, that we might be dealing with more than a juggernaut team and that we might have to beat the officiating as well....
Which is a load of crap considering it's going to be a heck of a game regardless and I would like to see this game called fairly!
I'm promise I'm NOT trying to set myself up for excuses if we lose a close one or anything....But in the world we live in nowadays and the NBA officiating and stuff,I can't help but wonder if there is a bad seed(s) in stripes that will officiating our game Sunday....
God I hope we get ED Hurcules!I think he is on the upandup! :applause:
Just don't be suprised....That's all I got to say about that?

i think the basic presmise is should we be worried about the refs, and I say yes. If anyone so much as breathes on Brady, it'll be 15 yards/first down.
I think the coaches will be telling the players to keep the tempers cool and don't do anything ambiguous that normally would not be called.

Absolutely - sponsors will be able to sell a lot of insurance, shaving equipment, and beer if the Pats and Colts are undefeated when they play each other. The NFL and its officials know all about it, unfortunately for us.

Hopefully the officiating won't be as bad as the GB game. Those Lambo' officials jerked us all game.
NE will probably beat the hair grease out of the skins with out any help from the zebra's.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall in the NFL offices when they gather the entire crew around a big conference table to tell them to 'make sure the Pats win this one'. Then, they'll call the Redskins team doctor to make sure none of the hurt players are able to go this week. The tower at Dulles aiport will be told to make sure the team's flight is delayed. The team hotel in New England will 'mysteriously' lose their reservation. The cook will serve them bad food. And Roger Goodell will be seen doing a rain dance outside the stadium before kickoff.
The Redskins are in trouble.

I'm more worried about the headsets mysteriously not working at crucial moments in the game, like has happened during our last two road games. If it happens again on Sunday, it'll be hard to just write it off as yet another bizarre coincidence. Heck, with Bellicheat, it's almost a forgone conclusion...not that he'd really need to employ such tactics to beat the hell out of us on Sunday, but if the game were close somehow, I wouldn't be surprised to see more timeouts called by the offense because plays can't be radioed in from the sideline to JC.

We always deal with officiating....If you don't think that NFL officials will control the outcome of a game you're nuts. NFL officials are controlled by the mafia.

Well, it wouldn't be unprecedented. I'm STILL not completely over the 3rd game of 1972 ...
The 2-0 Skins went up to Foxboro to play the lowly 1-1 Pats. Jim Plunkett, Randy Vataha, Sam Bam Cunningham--that lot. We had the game in hand, until a ****er of a referee named McDonald made a couple of the most outrageous calls you've ever seen in the Skins end zone at the end of the game to hand the Pats a 24-23 victory.
All these years later, I'm still haunted by that one. My 12-year old self simply could not grasp how a grown man could be either so utterly stupid or so utterly dirty. Trying to find a write up of that one to share.
Good news is, maybe there's precedent to be had. The Skins went on that season to win their next 9 games on the way to an 11-3 record and their first ever Super Bowl berth.
Bastards couldn't keep us down.

Couldn't you have just said, "an ESPN2 broadcaster?" Or something to that effect? Is there only one black lady on ESPN2?

there is only one black lady on first take and there is one white lady too. they are both tall and semi attractive..so how would you explain the difference between the two?

The poster didn't say First Take--he said ESPN2.
And if you're going to quote someone, or paraphrase things they have said, you should take the time to find out their name.

Im afraid we are going to go in their and lose the game ourselves. going in there and expecting to have the game lost for us is absurd. I know BB is under scrutiny for cheating but they are a good football team and I think we just need to go in their and play football.

Are you new? The officiating crew in the entire league has been stinking it up all season. This will be no different.

Yea its the officials we need to worry about in this game, keep telling yourself that. Lets just hope that our line finds a way to mold together quickly during practice this week or our D will be gasping for air like they have all year in the 2nd half only this time it might start a lot earlier. If we cant sustain drives of more than 3 and out all game, the officials will mean absolutely nothing.

Every week there seems to be some b.s. call so why would this change. Home teams always seem to get more calls (would love to see the stats on that one). Brady gets his share of calls (along w/Manning). The Pats being undefeated are going to get the benefit of the doubt.
You'd think since Belicheck got caught that maybe the tides would turn and the refs would sway a bit? :)
Everyone says we have no chance but remember last year we we were 4-9 and trotted down to N.O. and pulled off probably the biggest upset of the season by any team? I know the Saints and Pats are on different levels but its the principle...anythings possible. We wouldnt even watch the game if we honestly/truly didnt think we had a chance.
Lets hope whoever wins does so w/out a goof by the officiating.

Superbowl XL is proof enough...not to mention all the Pats SB 'wins'...And of course, we have the Bills/Pukes game but that doesn't really come anywhere close to the ref cheating involved in XL.
Anyways...officiating or not, we have no chance against the Pats after watching the game against Zona. We don't have any kind of offense and a gutless coach who I thought had learned his lesson...but apparently didn't. Anyways, here's hoping Brady and Moss get hurt for the season during this game .
