Like all of you have noticed and the coaching staff calling the games so far trying NOT to lose, I think this is the moment of truth...
With all the media and every NFL fan (except few Redskins fans) conceding the victory to the Patriots, our team has NOTHING to lose!! We need to go out there with NO HOLDS BARRED!!
Unleash the Beast!! Unleash Saunders and JCam!! Get CRAZY and WILD!! This game will speak VOLUMES for the rest of the season... If we are remotely close or outright WIN, think of the rest of the schedule:
11/4 @ Jets (W)
11/11 vs. Eagles (W)
11/18 @ Cowboys (possible W)
11/25 @ Buccaneers (W)
12/2 vs. Bills (W)
12/6 vs. Bears (W)
12/16 @ Giants (possible W)
12/23 @ Vikings (W)
12/30 vs. Cowboys (possible W)
We have 3 possible games that can be decided by this week's game. We can set our confidence for the rest of the season!! If we even lose 2 out of 3 possibles listed above, we could go 11-5 or 12-4!! So, let's GET IT ON!!

:laugh::laugh: I love your enthusiasm man, but there's a disconnect between your cause and effect there. Still, I hope this actually happens.

I keep reading posts stating that the Skins should open it up this week to try and show the Patriots something different, and perhaps win because of it.
Shouldn't this type of strategy be employed for a division (or at least conference) game? Why waste it against a non-conference opponent in a game which doesn't hold nearly as much importance as a NFC East game?

If could help give the offense some confidence. I tired of depending on the defense and special teams for points.

I think you're waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to optimistic. But hey, you're a fan. =)
here's what I'm thinkin...
11/4 @ Jets (W but a tough win.)
11/11 vs. Eagles (an easy W. they have fallen apart.)
11/18 @ Cowboys (L. it'll be a good game but our offense won't do well.)
11/25 @ Buccaneers (L. They are coming together well this year)
12/2 vs. Bills (W. but despite their record, the Bills are one of those teams you can't really judge easily. For instance... MNF vs Cowboys.)
12/6 vs. Bears (W. Very tough game since we have almost no time to prepare.)
12/16 @ Giants (L. Just accept it. Giants have pulled it together.)
12/23 @ Vikings (L. Peterson is nasty good)
12/30 vs. Cowboys (possible W. Toughest game of the year.)

Ummm, what? So if we beat the Pats, we automatically get three extra "bonus wins?"
Sorry, but no matter what happens Sunday, every single remaining game is a possible win or a possible loss. We've shown the ability to play with everyone so far. We've also played down to the level of competition.
We're gonna have to give the Pats everything we've got and then, win or lose, focus everything on beating the Jets.

I'd rather look at it this way....We should beat..Tampa, Chicago, Minnesota, Buffalo and the NY Jets...that's 5 wins to go along with the 4 we already have.
A win against NE would be a practical 10 win season..
Then count the division games left and at least split the 4 left thats 12-4 and all is well....

Do you really think this team is going 8-2 from here on out? Man, I must be watching the wrong channel or something.

We should, that would be fair I think.

And you're delusional...if he's way too optimistic.
Jets...a tough win? They're garbage.
Eagles...an easy win? Defense is still good
I'll give you the Cowboys
Bucs....a loss? Dude they're one dimensional and Garcia will have trouble against this secondary. They have Galloway and that's it as far as weapons. Our D will shut them down. It may be close, but we'll win that for sure IMO.
Bills...yeah, that's a win. We haven't shown that we take teams lightly. Gibbs gets us prepared. This past Sunday's performance was not a good litmus test for taking teams lightly. I don't think we'll do that [like the Pokes did], I think it was the injuries on the O line that kept us from converting 3rd downs. As a result, the defense had a lot of pressure on them and fatigue in the second half.
Bears...who knows
Giants at their place....we'll be hyped about that game but who knows?
Vikings...a loss? you're out of your tree. Once again, our D will shut down any one dimensional team we face this year. We've done it all year so far.
Cowboys at home....I think we'll be healthy, possibly get RT back, so I'm gonna say this will be a good game but we win at our packed house.
We'll go 10-6 this year and maybe 11-5 especially if we at least have a strong showing against the Pats. A win or a close game this weekend would work wonders for our confidence.

Truth or Consequences? I guess in some people's mind if we don't win, we'll suffer the consequences. I don't view this game as a make or break for the season. Since when have we worried about a non-conference win? It will be a nice measuring stick to beat one of the elite teams, but definitely not a back breaker. I would of felt much better if we were 6-0 coming into this game. But I'll deal with the heartbreak losses and hope we put together a great game for this one.

I agree. And I think we'll come up 3-4 wins short of that goal.

All I was trying to say was that we have NOTHING to lose on this week's game... People have already written us off... But, if we win or play a solid game to be competitive, it could do wonders for our confidence which could translate to the rest of the season... That was the jist of the post guys... Not trying to be overly optimisitic or dillusional... Just saying how much of an impact this week's game could make for the rest of the season...

And you don't think the Offense isn't? The problem is the team has opened up as much as they can, the O line is in dissaray and we just have to wait it out for guys to come back and when they do come back to be at full strength and not just in the lineup. :logo:
