SUBJECT: Intimidation Does Not Work

New England Patriots, we just thought we would write to let you know what you will be up against on Sunday. You can look at the statistics and see that we are an excellent defensive football team. You have seen evidence of what our offense can do when you reviewed the Redskins vs Detroit Lions tape. However, there are more intangibles to be considered and we just wanted to point out a few to you.

Granted you all are a great team, just like Coach Gibbs has said. But what he fail to say is that we have some cold blooded assasins in our locker room. For them to have faced some of the adversity that they have faced in life and stared down death and other risk is to surmise that they WILL NOT BE INTIMIDATED by your "juggernaut" of a team.

For instance,

Sean Taylor grew up facing death everyday in his neighborhood. He escaped to become one of, if not the best, safety in football. As recently as his rookie offseason this same man went looking for criminals with guns to retrieve his property. When he found them, remember it was he not the criminals that were charged with a crime. We never knew the extent of what Sean did, but this anger has only be channeled into his play. Sean is not intimidated.

LaRon Landry is so fresh that he does not even know what intimidation is. He faced Katrina down in Louisiana. LaRon is not intimidated.

Shawn Springs is watching his father in a coma and despite all the naysayers saying there is no chance for him to live, Shawn is playing football. What does he have to lose; a game? That is not important when you think that he may lose his father. Shawn is not intimidated.

London Fletcher-Baker has had to reestablish relationship with members of his family, hence the addition of Baker. He has faced you over and over again when he was with Buffalo. He has seen the emotional highs and lows of this life and this league. He has faced them, stared them down, overcome them. He is not intimidated.

Clinton Portis and Santana Moss are from the University of Miami: The "U". You know their reputation. They can be a bunch of thugs. Thuggishness translated into NFL language indicates fierceness with a nothing to lose, go for broke attitude. Clinton and Santana are not intimidated and both have something to prove.

Mike Sellers has been in the NFL, cut from the NFL, played in the CFL, come back to the NFL. He has been in trouble with the law and recovered to become stellar. I don't believe Big Mike is intimidated. Tell Rodney Harrison to reference Brian Dawkins before the game so he will know the appropriate evasive tactics to take when he sees BIG MIKE coming his way.

Brandon Lloyd has not contributed much to date, but even in Redskins Nations we know that he has an "I don't care attitude". If he chooses to focus this attitude into his play on Sunday for the positive. You may be looking at a weapon that you failed to plan for. Brandon is definitely not intimidated. We do not know if he even realizes the magnitude of what he is facing in his own life and career so it stands to reason that Brandon is not intimidated by you.

Jason Campbell is just cool, all of the time. Jason cannot be intimidated. Have you ever had to live in Mississippi? There are threats there that he has faced that make facing you on Sunday seem insignificant and inconsequential and he survived. Jason is not intimidated.

Finally, we have a coaching staff that accomplished the same feat of three Super Bowls that your coaching staff has accomplished. Although it was in the 80's and early 90's, they were assasins back then. They are going to have a flashback on Sunday and its going to unleash the killer instinct that they used to display weekly in putting teams away.

Patriots, do you really want to play this game? It may behoove you to realize that it is in your best interest to chalk this up as your first loss and focus on the playoffs and home field advantage. Essentially, the Redskins have nothing to lose. They will play like it and that does not bode well for you.

If you have any questions, please contact Redskin'sNation and its legion of believers and followers. They will confirm all that has been detailed for you in this memo.

Thank you in advance for your attention to this memorandum and your anticipated cooperation.

We look forward to seeing you on Sunday.

HAIL REDSKINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

though i admire the intentions of your post, i dont like the fact that you point out that half of those guys have been arrested and thats justification for why they cant be intimidated...seems like something we shouldnt be putting a pedestal

The defense will fend their offense off. Potentially, if our offense can play to their potential as well, then New England will lose.

At least none of the Skins got in trouble for running over a meter maid.

By the way...Gibbs won 3 Super Bowls with 3 different QBs. An accomplishment that has never been duplicated. Take away Brady and Belicheck would be a coordinator somewhere.

What a great opening line to an NFL film (you can just imagine the voice-over as ST strolls onto the field in slo-mo...) :D
