Donte' Stallworth.

Watch the little highlight video in the upper right corner.
I know, I know, it's Miami.

But he does that sort of thing every week, regardless of who he's playing.
Donte' leads the league in YAC, and that's why we need to change up our defensive gameplan.

Just... think about it like this. With Cover 2 we've actually been pretty great about not letting the opposing team strike anywhere deep on us. Every time they air it out, ST either picks it off, knocks it away, or lays someone out. That's great.

And up front, we've got some decent run-stopping going on. We're not the best in the league, but other teams definitely have to switch it up when their backs get stuffed on almost every other down.

But.

We give them that middle cushion. We ALWAYS give them that middle cushion. Usually it's not a big deal, because our secondary is quick as hell and can usually make the tackle immediately after the receiver makes the catch.

But.

We've all seen the ONE missed tackle on one or two or three plays per game that give up HUGE yards and inevitably set up scoring drives.

I think Donte' gives the Pats the opportunity to make several of those plays on sunday.

Moss goes deep, pulling Springs and Taylor deep with him, Stallworth cuts across the middle and someone, probably Rogers but maybe Landry, misses a tackle, and Donte' gets an extra 30 yards after the initial reception. After that, it's all small potatoes dink-and-dunk from Brady and maybe some 3-4 yard gains on the ground and they've got ANOTHER TD.

Seriously, do you guys think we can contain Donte'?

27 TDs
2 INTs

...that is still the Patriots biggest threat.....we need to get to where the ball is coming from, our D-line has to play the game of their lives.

We won't get to Brady unless we blitz, and if we blitz Brady will find the open man for a LARGE gain. Our Dline is average AT BEST, Andre Carter is stepping up, but in reality our secondary is covering people and giving the dline extra time to get to the qb which is why we are getting sacks. Brady is smart and can get rid of the ball quickly if needed, and his Oline is amazing so I think the key to this game is play the same D we have been playing, don't let the patriots change the way we play football, if ST can get a pick or 2 and the O starts to click a little bit, don't be suprised if we come out of this game with an "impossible" win.

We've been tackling pretty well.
