Week three vs Giants, a game we should have won, and at the time, the Giants SUCKED, but we pissed away a first half lead and let them score 21 unanswered points and wala.....another loss.
Week four vs the lions. Apparently, the Lions melted down and made us look good, because on the average, we don't look good this year.
Week five, the Packers....a good team, that we SHOULD HAVE beaten, but again, pissed away the lead and added another L to our loss column. I personally consider this game, the game that would define our season......and let me tell ya, it has!
Week six, the pathetic Cardinals,.........again barely beating a team that sucks. Who are we kidding?
Week seven: The Patriots. All I can say about this game is that I would be sooooooooooooooo embarrassed to be a Redskin after that humiliating ordeal in which it appeared that we never even showed up for the game.
Week eight........wow, we barely beat a 1-6 Jets team. Are you getting the drift here? Are you connecting the dots? Joe Gibbs, can you hear us?

HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone listening? I am currently watching a REAL football game, Colt vs Patriots. Attention Redskins coaching (or lack thereof) staff........ Why start a thread on here like this? After a WIN? Did you think the Skins were going to the super bowl this year or even the playoffs. It makes me wonder if you're really a fan or just here to cause trouble. I can't stand crybaby fans like you at games or on here, constanly bashing the team you claim to love.

I often bash Gibbs on posts, but we beat the Lions soundly.
If healthy and properly coached this is a solid playoff, but not championship, team.
The main problem, besides injuries, is coaching.
We are a 5-3 team and currently in the playoff hunt.
But we won't go far in playoffs.

people like you make me sick to my stomach, you have no right to consider yourself a skins fan you coward. Why are you trying soo hard to convince us real fans that the skins stink? I was watching with a few people like you today and when we fell behind 17-3 they all bitched and moaned and said "game over" and I told them right then and there that the skins were gonna win this game, I was 100% positive we would fight back and win it. And while i was cheering my @ss off watching portis rip off that run in OT and demolish dyson, they sounded like they were sad that the redskins had proved them wrong. Here's a little advice, if you are really a redskins fan, you might try rooting for the team instead of against them. you'll enjoy it alot more when they make their late season surge into the playoffs.

My opinion of the Patriots has changed since 24 hours ago. My opinion of the Colts, Redskins, Jets, and many other teams has changed since yesterday. What's the problem?

For Dallas, the answer rhymes with "zero".
The Giants don't fare much better.

We are a pathetically average team this year with a below average offense and a slightly above average defense and let's just take a look at the facts here shall we?
Week one vs Dolphins 16-13......wow, what a omen as to our 2007 season.
Week two, barely beat the Eagles who totally SUCKED then but now are the team we've grown to hate. Oh, and we'll get to enjoy them kicking our ass next weekend.
HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone listening? I am currently watching a REAL football game, Colt vs Patriots. Attention Redskins coaching (or lack thereof) staff........ These are real football teams and this is how real football teams play football. Maybe you should take notes! Maybe you should put your mouth/actions where your money is. Because the money involved in this team is unfathomable and the actions are non-existant.
Now I know why Iowa doesn't have a football team..maybe you should just be a Vikings fan

Cant argue with you too much about the Offense but on Defense I think your more then wrong.
We have allways been known for having a defense being a force to wreckon with...and this years no different from the others.
We really got a brickwall for a Defense.
Offense really does have alot to be desired because theres just SOOO much talent I hate for it not to be used!!!!

I missed the game, but looking at the game stats, there seems to be a reason for some optimism.
I think our line is beginning to get some health back. More specifically, it looks like Wade, Casey and Kendall are recovering. Fabini is the weak link.
How do I know? Our running game -- apparently, it was working.
I think we will have a real chance at winning against the eagles.

We are average. Until we can score with some regularity, we will stay that way. Im just happy we left with a win. Im just holding out hope that the passing game will start up eventually... I agree with the thread starter. It's just tough love people. A decisive victory over the Jets on the road was the only thing that would convince me that the Skins might be contenders.
Fortunately the Skins still control their own destiny. Unfortunately the Skins haven't gotten over finding a way to beat themselves.
Let us pray for some division magic in the upcoming weeks.

Well, we are average at this point because we are waiting on our new QB to take it to the next level and we lost half our line in a short period of time.
This is what I see.
So far, Campbell is doing ok. Just ok. I'm glad he isn't making lots of mistakes but at the same time, he isn't shinning either. He does so good. Some bad. But mostly average. I guess that is a plus because with ever game he gets more experience.
That said, I see some really talent QBs out there. I was impressed with the young Jets QBs. He seems to have that feel and he has talent. Romo is way better then Campell.
Mostly, this team is waiting on Campbell. He needs to hit a few more of those long balls. Great arm but he is off on the long ball more often then he is one. He needed to lead Moss to the center of the field instead of forcing him toward his back side. He has missed Moss several time long this year and Moss needs to get a few of those so he can get off. El looks great as a WR and we have other WR we havent even worked in yet. Mostly because the passing game/Campbell doest have it going yet. The damaged line has something to do with this.
Today's decision seemed to be centered around focusing on giving Portis most the carries instead of splitting it up. Portis is coming off some major injuries. He didn't get much out of preseason. I finally saw his speed today.
That is the plus to take away from this game. Seeing that improvement while getting a W is a plus. The line is coming around also. One more game of them playing together is good.
We have a ways to go but we did some good foundation building today.
Portis is ready to break out.
The line is getting better.
Campbell got another game under his belt.
We got a W.
Now Campbell needs a game where we see him take another step.
We arent out of the wood yet but we are building.

Damn that is a little on the harsh side. I agree that I see a lot of just mediocre play from the skins on both sides of the ball except from some few individuals. We played a horrible Jets team today and this was the results from our offense.
field goal
punt
field goal
field goal
field goal
interception
touchdown thanks to the defense getting us the ball back
punt
Ot-field goal
How are we ever going to beat any good teams(dallas,Giants, colts, pats) with results like that?
Joe Gibbs went back to a commitment for the run today which is fine with me because you have to start somewhere to fix a 28th ranked offense.
Jason Campbell's accuracy has to improve and he is still not getting rid of the ball fast enough. Joe and Al have to find a way to improve the deep Ball and get Jason's passes down(to high) on the intermediate routes. I'm getting tired of watching balls sail over there hands and head.
Fix the Run and Campbell's play and we could start to see a different offense!!!

If I have said this once I have repeated it 100 times. All of you "REDSKINS FANS" that find it so painful to win and/or loose close games need to find another team to cheer for, oh that's right I forgot you don't know how to cheer, just pi** and moan! Well go pi** and moan for somebody else! I for one am sick and tired of all the negitive crap you so call fans spew.
Yes the Redskins have to fight for every win, if you have not noticed so does every other middle of the road team. 5-3 people, 5-3! The way some of you act it's like we are 0-8! Want a winning team all the time? Buy 32 jerseys one for each team and wear one for the winner that week. But don't call yourself a fan.
If you want to be a fan then you pick your team and support! Does that mean you have to like or agree everything they do? NO! It means that as long as they continue to fight, as long as they don't give up then neither do you.
A lot of the "FANS" I see on this board wrote this team off before the first game of the season! Now you write us off half way through the season! I have one question for you. Why do you stay? Why do you continue to "SAY" you support this team, when everyone can plainly see you DON'T!
Please go away!! We will not miss you! I for one do not feel that you deserve to be called a REDSKIN FAN! We have pride! We have devotion! We live and die with this team! You look for the easy way out.
I will pay attention to you nagitive bi***ing when just one of you can show me that you have the brains and expirence to ran an NFL FOOTBALL TEAM! YOU DON'T! and you never will. So please go away!

God forbid anyone talks to someone with some respect around here. We have 30, 40, and 50 year old people cussing at other fans for no good reason. I may not always agree with another fan but I don't want them to leave the team and leave the Redskin family. Can we try to lift each other up a little instead of putting each other down? So what if they are angry and doubting, this is where you come to complain because its family and you gripe to family. Let's try to support them even when they are wrong and show them why they are wrong instead of calling names and taking cheap shots. WE NEED TO STICK TOGETHER DURING THE GOOD AND BAD TIMES AND NOT FIGHT LIKE SPOILED LITTLE BRATS...

What's the old football adage?
"You win first, then you get good"?
Your not gonna turn a 5-11 team into a powerhouse in an instant.
When you win though, it gives you the necessary time to become a powerhouse.

Say again that after we have another game like we did against the Pats, and I may give your point some thought. Today, we only gave up 13 offensive points.
13 points is true enough, but their 3rd down conversion percentage was 61 for the complete game. Not good defense. Also they got 331 yards of total offense. Not good defense. Our best defense clearly was their recievers ability to drop passes when they were wide open. Not good defense. Letting the Jets come right down the field at the end of the game to kick the tying field goal. Not good defense. And allowing them to complete a 39 yard pass on the first play of OT. Not good defense. You sir are wrong!!!

It's hard to love "head in the sand" fans like you too that don't see that we are right where we were before. Mediocre at best, eeking out wins against teams we should clearly dominate. But, you guys will see what we see in about 7 days from now when the Eagles come to town and own us on our own field.

I'm a homer, so I like all our games, but I'd say I like the second Dallas game even more because we'll have Randy Thomas by then hopefully. That'll help keep their offense off the field.
I see your reasoning for the Giants, but the Bucs being an automatic loss?
Fabini and Wade are doing a great job. Randy Thomas isn't going to make that much of a difference. In fact they would be stupid to rush him back since they are doing a good job in his stead. At least now they are really gelling.

people like you make me sick to my stomach, you have no right to consider yourself a skins fan you coward.

3-7-NYJ 39 (12:21) (Shotgun) 17-J.Campbell pass deep middle to 89-S.Moss to NYJ 23 for 16 yards (27-A.Elam).

Bottom line is no one knows how good or how bad we are because we play every game close (not including the Pats game). But the bottom line is midway through this season, we already have as many wins as we did all of last season. Stop complaining everybody! 5-3 is much better than 5-11. Our team isn't overwhelmingly talented. We should be happy with 5-3.

HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone listening? I am currently watching a REAL football game, Colt vs Patriots. Attention Redskins coaching (or lack thereof) staff........ These are real football teams and this is how real football teams play football. Maybe you should take notes! Maybe you should put your mouth/actions where your money is. Because the money involved in this team is unfathomable and the actions are non-existant.
Same old complaints....not worthy of a new thread.

May have wanted to leave well enough alone. This one ran its course and there have been several more like it since.
