View Full Version : Define Arrogance..... For me it's Bills Fans

I was out playing with my flag football team in DC and afterwards some of the guys wanted to go to Mcfaddens (sp?) in DC for some beers and watch the games since it was already noon.

So we go there and immediately upon entering I notice it was a Bills bar. No problem I thought, they will still most certainly have my Skins on at least a couple TVs. There were about 20 - 30 LCD TVs in the place and I soon noticed that ALL of them were tuned into the Bills game. So I asked our waitress why there were no other games on especially the Redskins and she replies in a obnoxious attitude "this is a Bills bar". Well of course my retort was you are in ****ing DC can't you at least have ONE TV with the redskins game on? She just walked away.

So there are some individual booth tables that were already taken (you probably had to get there when the damn place opened to get these) with individual flat screen TVs at them. I politely asked if one of them would kindly put the Skins game on one of them since the Bills game is on every other TV in the bar. Well that request was not granted. I then decide to have our table be the ******* table by rooting for Cincy in the much obsurd way (shouting on scores, firstdowns, etc in favor for the Bengals.) Least to say that did not go over well, but who cares ****'em.

One of the patrons there said they have every Bills game on every TV because they don't get to see them since they live here and that we (Skins fans) get to see all of our games. My first point: The Bills/Bengals games was a locally televised (ABC I think) game; and my second point is go the **** back to Buffalo you whining *****.

If I ever move out of the DC area or just go somewhere outside of DC where there is a Redskins bar with many TVs I hope I don't encounter the same. That's just being downright selfish and rude to other patrons who might want to see other games.

So I left shortly before half-time and went to my normal bar in Alexandria.

Has anyone else come across **** like this???

EDIT: And did anyone know the Bills song when they score???? Look it up, that's ****ing annoying also. They can't even make up their own song without sampling someone elses.

I feel your pain, Mike. Seriously. But Bills fans are long-suffering friggin' diehards just like we are. My pastor back home is a Bills fan, and he's as dedicated and maniacal about his team as I am.

And look at this way. You can go back there on Dec. 2 and they'll have the Skins on. Fo sho.

I'll be at that game, already got my tickets:D . Maybe then we can teach them some manners and add another game under their lose column:laugh:

Bills games do occasionally get blacked out in Buffalo.

Buffalo fans in general are pretty long-suffering. First, their local economy sucks. They get teased with small influxes of money that never really materialize. Then the Sabres break their hearts.

Easy fix. Order pizza and watch at home.

Arrogance is not the word i would use. Bills fan have a serious inferiority complex, reinforced by 4 Super Bowl losses (mostly in blowout fashion), and Willis McGahee taking a big steamy :pooh: on their town, and now with the owner moving games to ****ing Canada.

All they have is their crappy "Bills bar" and there is not a chance hell they are giving up an inch of it. Ever.

Edit: My fathers side of the family are all from Buffalo/Rochester, so trust me on this one.

I hate that ****ing bar anyway. One of my friends won an open bar for himself and $1 drinks for 10 of his friends, so I went with some people from work and it sucked. It was a bunch of old ********s with gelled-up hair and their collars popped and ******* bartenders who barely put a splash of liquor in your drink and poured beers that were all head.

Sounds like a Bills bar.

Jimmy's a good guy, though. They go out of their way to make you welcome, regardless who you or your team are... ;)

If you really want revenge, just go to Mcfadden's when the Bills play the Redskins. :)

Just got back from Buffalo myself.

I would kindly suggest to you that the city of Buffalo has a collective case of blue balls. Apparently that mentality crosses over where Bills fans will accumulate in numbers.

Just look at it like that and you will understand the arrogance. :2cents:

Ah, they're just bitter because of the Super Bowl losses and the fact their team may move to Toronto!
