Because of the trade with San Francisco, the Patriots have a top 5 chance.... Do the richer get richer and trade that pick away to try to get their original pick back or take the best player on the board

They'll draft a RB. Most likely McFadden b/c Maroney is injury prone and outside of him their backs blow.

If they do get him, they WILL go 16-0 and will win the SB. he is AP version 2.

I hope the 49ers come alive.

the 49ers blow.. I really think Nolan is not a good fit and it was Norv who got the most out of their talent on the offensive side of the ball

You mean they know how to run a franchise?

they had 2 first rounders last year and really didn't need to select a player so they wanted to forgo their pick last year to gain more picks in the future..

I bet the skins would have tried to package their 1st two picks to get a higher pick or just select 2 different players

And the punishment truly doesn't fit the crime. But of course.

Hopefully the Browns continue to win to give the Pokes a lower 1st round pick

The NFL should dock that pick and let them keep the eventual 32nd.

The NFL should dock that pick and let them keep the eventual 32nd. the Nfl should take both of them.

Agreed.

I'm still angry over the "punishment" the Pats received...

I also would have liked to have seen them docked the higher of the two first round picks, whichever it might have been (as if the 49'ers would have a better record  ).

Speaking for myself, that would help me feel a little better about their punishment... a little more like the punishment fit the severity of the transgression.

Nope, they should of docked their whole 2008 draft and suspended Belicheat for 4 games like they did Wade Wilson.

Just another blatant show of ass-kissing by the NFL to the Patriots. They KNEW San Fran would have a worse record, so Goodell took the Pats pick and not the Niners pick. He should have taken BOTH. If this isn't favoritism, I'd don't know what is.

I didn't even realize they had a pick coming to them from San Fran until a couple of days ago. It really does make the punishment seem so insignificant (for the crime) now. Big deal...we have to give up a very late 1st rd pick but we're still getting a top 5 pick....

Not good.

I'm really beginning to hate the Pats.

I think this is hysterical. The Patriots might go undefeated and end up with a top five pick. Belichick is gonna moon everyone when he's up on the podium accepting the Lombardi trophy

The NFL should have taken away the SF pick that New England has, I can't stand Godell....

Knowing the f'ing Pats, they'll trade down in the draft for a bunch of picks, bring in a bunch of no name guys that are extremely talented, and continue to build their stupid dynasty! Jeez I wish we had a FO like theirs ... ::doh::

my devout 49ers fan /buddy says they will be lucky to win 1-2 more games this year. he figures nolan has a good chance to be booted. he usually knmows what hes talking about. he can't believe the pats may get a top 3 pick.

When it rains it pours. If the Patriots get McFadden to go with the rest of their weapons? God help us all.

The 49ers traded for the Pats 27th pick to draft RT Joe Staley last year.
