Why no college FB fantasy leagues???

Is there a certain reason there is no fantasy football for college?

To many teams? Cant use college athletes for such things?

I know the amount of teams would be tough to keep up with.. but someone could develop leagues where you pick one conference to draft from... for example the whole league can only draft from the ACC??

Im not sure of the reason but it would be pretty fun I think... thoughts?

i always assumed it was for the same reasons that real names aren't used in college football video games.....they're amateurs, and their name and status can't be used to make money.

i came across a college fantasy thing on fox or espn last year. i signed up, but never joined cuz i was busy with other stuff and doing 4 nfl leagues already.

dont remember what it was called though.

I think in order for it to work, you would have to limit the player pool in some way. Maybe only allow players to be selected from the BCS conferences or something like that.

well i just got the notification and created a private league. right now its just the major BCS conferences and the independents that are available. but that can be changed.

edit: ok, i cant really change anything, even as the creator of the league. the conferences available and the 10 teams are fixed. even the date of the automated draft is set and cant be changed. which is aug 7th, btw. so if we want to change the conferences or the date. ill just create a new league.

Wouldnt fantasy football for college be too crazy? It's too many teams and players. You have to devote too much time into researching all the teams and players. I dont think I would enjoy it as much as NFL FF.

not really. the default was limited to just the major bcs conferences. so with the nfl you got around 30 teams. with this, theres like 50 maybe?

i went through the rankings and it was pretty easy. theres not a lot of options like nfl, so it shouldnt take nearly as much time. something fun to do on the side though.
