I could not resist another photo of ARE as a wee little man.

First off - our receivers do that often, granted. Its usually during tight coverage or when they WILL take a hit across the middle. Why risk a fumble?
Second - it is MOST evident during final 2 minute drives. Like Sunday, when we were trying to come back. Im willing to bet that picture is from that last drive where if you catch the ball in the middle of the field its your JOB to go down immediately to save the clock.
What a great post.

If Greg Ellis is coming high on me like that, I'd S-H-R-I-N-K, too!

I would say this is the option pass play where Ellis had him dead to rights for a big loss, but El juked and jived and got the throw off to Cooley.

I remember thinking...When he did that..."Smart man...Saved a lil time on the clock" I also remember 26 NOT getting out of bounds and thinking he should learn from El.

What exactly is the point of this thread? If you have something to say, why not come out and say it and be man enough to defend it?

It's the smart thing to do to prevent a big hit and losing the ball. Stokley did it a few times in last night's game, it happens all around the league.
Open your eyes.
PS Any man who does punt returns in the NFL is ok in my book.

Whiskey is exactly right actually this pic is from the option pass play...Ellis came untouched off of the edge and Randle El had to reverse field to keep from taking about an 8 yard loss...So actually it wasn't a case of the shrinking!

I'd rather have him do that then take a hit and miss the rest of the game. We need El and if he can't get more yardage then fall down my man and live to catch another one. Useless hits wont help us. Stupid post :(

Whats the big deal? If he can get runs after the catch he does, if not he goes down. WR's across the league do this. The WR corps from the Rams SB years did this.
Its a smart move if you realize there is nothing more you can gain.

The point is to have a good time. It is just in fun. I think ARE is the best WR we have right now. just like the look of the size difference

Oh the point is he should stand tall and get tackled instead of srink I mean shrink to avoid it and get more yards!

He is making a "football move" not avoiding contact. WTF?

I love Antwaan Randle El. He has really done his best to help our banged up reciever core this season. He has put up career numbers.
The man has no fear of getting hit over the middle.
I appreciate your effort ARE:notworthy
