Supreme Court to Decide Legality of DC Handgun Ban

Depending on which way the court interprets the Second Amendment as applying to the state or individual (or both they way I see it). Their decision will likely have major impact on current and future gun laws.

It says right in the Amendment that it's the right of the people to keep and bear arms, not the right of the states to keep and bear a militia.

I find it interesting that at least some of the news organizations that reported on this referred to it as the right to bear arms, not the right to keep and bear arms, two small words with a whole world of different meaning.
