View Full Version : Does anyone advise Gibbs for challenges?

Is it totally on Gibbs, or is someone in the booth advising him on when to throw the flag? The fumble by Campbell was CLEARLY the right call, and I was wondering if there was anyone (other coaches) who would tell Gibbs that throwing the red flag wouldn't be wise? Using the 2nd timeout at that point in the game was just another bump on Gibbs' clock management resume....I dunno, but I hope things get better, and more cohesive.

JG said that one of the refs said it was a real close call.
so he thought he had a chance to overturn it..

At that point in the game, in that circumstance, it wasn't a bad call. Clearly, the refs made the right call. Giibs took a shot and it didn't work out. At the very least, he gave his team time to regroup and gave them a little hope.

We seriously haven't won a challenge all year.

I heard that the challenge advisor for the Skins got fired.
Jerry Jones now advises Gibbs on replay challenges via blue-tooth

On the Santana Moss fumble, Gibbs had the red flag out. To his credit, he didn't throw it. I have to think that someone in the booth advised him to put it back in his pocket. The Campbell fumble was a closer call, but still, anyone in front of a TV could have told Gibbs to put the red flag away on that one too.

it looked close on my TV screen, At that point your risking them going in and scoring a TD. Credit our D for holding them to 3.

I thought that was a bad spot at the goaline when Caldwell caught the ball. Instead, the Skins excepted the spot and ran for it on 4th down and didn't get it.

Does anyone advise Gibbs on anything; if so, does he ever listen?
