Just got done watching a segment on Sean and it was the most respectful reporting done thus far. They were talking about how they were upset w/ their colleagues portrayal of a young thug neglecting the positive turn his life had taken with the birth of his daughter. :applause::applause::applause:

I just saw that too. That was impressive. I didn't get their names, but the guy with glasses owned the other guy who was trying to paint ST in a negative light.

He (dude with glasses) bashed the media for painting ST as anything other than a victim. That he was at home and his house was broken into and he was murdered. That to imply that ST brought this upon himself is horrible and irresponsible.

Very happy to see that. The whole sports world isn't insane, it seems.

saw the same thing. the guy on the left with the glasses kept saying how it was disrespectful to sean and his family. he was a victim and was murdered in his own house. any connections between the murder and his past should be looked into by the police, but should not be part of speculation.

great job there.

I couldn't listen to his program this mourning. He read his first 3 emails in responses talkin about Brian Moorman not missin him n Oj references made me sick. It doesnt matter if Jim Didn't write them HE STILL READ THEM. Everyone thinks they are an expert on this situation when they are not n when I hear ignorant premature comments on him it drives me insane but I just bottle it up inside. Im just angry right now. I dont wanna cry cause (shyte now I am) just cause It would make me look stupid but fuk its hard.

i usually hate that show, but that sounds like a class act. i wouldve half expected jim rome to come out and say "thats what you get when you stay tied to the hood".... im proud of him for proving me wrong.

And Around The Horn was respectful also...

And Blackistone said a very sad but true fact...

"Sadly, here in DC, we already have 170 murders this year and many are just like Taylor, young and black but you never here about them. The sad thing is, the only reason Taylor is different is because he was a star football player."

He did say something like your lifestyle dictates your deathstyle. I thought that was pretty lame. His guest, the nerd that was pushing his book, was right on. As far as anyones assesment tho, the Lawyer that Fox News just had on hit it on the head. He was Executed. Someone wanted Taylor dead. There is just too much evidence pointing in that direction.

i was coming back to post on the ATH opening. i thought it was great how reali said 'no scoring on this one, folks. just opinions.'

i thought blackistone was a little off on his initial statements. he was starting to sound too much like the rest of the washingon media, ie wilbon and shapiro. but im glad they went back to him to finish the round with his statement about the other 170 murders. that put it in light.
but i think woody did the best saying how things were in denver after darrent's murder. and how he said the skins upcoming games should be moved so the team can attend the funeral.

and now i give tony from pti props for the story about his daughter. not that it changes anything about him. but at least he admits he wishes he 'could be less cynical' and show the emotion as a fan the way his daughter did.

and wilbon was being his usual self, no surprise there.

controversy breeds stories. While there was no controversy about what happend, people will always try to make it seem like that.

Blackistone is right, of course.Another very sad but true fact is that in overwhelming numbers it is young black men who are the ones murdering other young black men. I've no idea whether this subject directly relates to the horror of what happened to Sean, but this society cannot afford to turn away from confronting the harsh reality of black on black violence among our young men.
