Being a 'Skins fan in Dallas is tough on an everyday basis. Today, I have been consoled and comforted by folks I thought hated me. Seems the whole city of Dallas has becomes a Redskins fan overnight. I'm shocked and impressed by the love shown to our team.
Maybe Dallas fans aren't as bad as I thought.

Nice sincere treatment by them but don't let this rip your fanhood. Dallas still sucks and it will be that way for life.

I hate the cowboys as a team but I've always heard nothing but good things about the Cowboy fans, especially in Dallas. They are more polite unlike the douche nozzles in Philly and NY.

I have never had problems with the fans here. And yesterday and today, my phone has blown up with thougths and prayers about Sean and this tragic loss.
The Dallas fans here are stepping up and being very supportive.

today, of all days, I wish I was back in DC with my skins fan friends. Nobody here understands what this is like, they all just ask if I heard about Sean Taylor and move on. There are a couple Miami fans who I can relate with, but thats it. Some people even had the nerve to try and talk trash about the skins/bucs game. Trying to explain to people who don't follow football is a pain in the ass. They don't understand. I want to be in DC.

This loss has touched many lives, I thought those in Dallas would be indifferent or it would affect them the other direction. I hope his legacy lives on forever. No one else will wear #21 for the Washington Redskins. Thanks to any Cowboys fan who support us.

Maybe Dallas fans aren't as bad as I thought.Chief Zee attended Crazy Ray's funeral and the two were great friends. Outside of the game, we are human and have emotions, friends, loved ones, etc. but when it comes to the games you hate Dallas. That's great to hear they are being classy. HTTR

As a Giants fan, I know 99% of us got your backs. But Eagles fans, the good majority of them will continue to remain trash.

Sad that it takes this tragedy for some of us to see the truth. We really dont hate each other, how could we. We talk a good game but deep down it's not true even if we can't admit it. I get pumped up for the Redskins game like no other on the Cowboys schedule. How can I hate something that brings so much joy and excitement into my life. Season without the Skins game would be like a chocolate sundae without whipped cream and the cherry on top, good but something is missing.
The outpouring of love and support from Cowboy fans in your time of pain would not happen if we truly hated each other. You wouldn't want it and we wouldn't give it.
Our support comes from the sadnest over this unspeakable tragedy and true respect (even if we can't admit it) for the Washington Redskins.
ps. I cant promise we won't *claim* to hate you on 12/30

This rivalry between the Redskins and Cowboys has always been personal for me. But for some reason, I just don't feel the intense hate for the Dallas Cowboys anymore. The way Wade Phillips, Tony Romo, Roy Williams, and Jerry Jones have reached out to our organization speaks volumes about the true class of people they really are. It's not just Dallas but around the entire league.

Very true I 'm saying the same thing my hate for the Cowboys is not real simply because how can you hate some one that you really do not know. I think sometimes we get so caught up and we do tend to forget that this is just a game. A lot of these guys are friends off the field but since this is competitive sport. You going to hate them for a few hours but when it all said and done they are friends again.
